1898 - Anaheim Lou Correa, left wing congressman for central Orange County Jim Fassel - NFL head coach Bobby Hatfield - the other half of the Righteous Brothers
1903 - Orange Mary Decker, the greatest female middle distance runner in American history.
1906 - Huntington Beach Tony Gonzalez, arguably the greatest tight end in NFL history Tito Ortiz, UFC light heavyweight champion and housemate of porn star Jenna Jameson Chrissy Teigen, supermodel
1921 - Garden Grove Steve Martin, comedian
1921 - Tustin DeShaun Foster, football player and UCLA head coach Cuba Gooding Jr., actor

Yes, the fact that some of our high schools have been around since before World War I, and won many of their championships before Hitler, kind of skews the numbers. If you look at only the last ten years, Santa Margarita has won the most CIF championships of any county school (33), followed by Mater Dei (27) and JSerra (17).and what does that tell you....!

I this part of OC, nearly all HS students went to Western. Then they built Kennedy, and then Los Alamitos (I think) and then finally Cypress.

1955 - Western 1961 - Magnolia & Savanna 1962 - Loara 1964 - Kennedy 1966 - Katella 1967 - Los Alamitos 1973 - Cypress
But only Western can claim Tiger Woods and Andy Messersmith as alumni.

I met Max in real life when his boy Trevor was a Wendy's HS Heisman. He was a good guy.
