Here's yet another example of the perfidious ways that media bias is passed along almost unnoticed.
The L.A. Times reported last week about Mike Pence giving a commencement speech at West Point. During the article, the paper saw fit to use the phrase, "...Pence - who like President Trump, did not serve in the military - noted his father's service in Korea." First of all, the middle part of that sentence is nor only irrelevant to the article, but it's a snide editorial addition intended only to insult and denigrate the president and V.P. And second, as a reader pointed out in a letter to the paper three days later, during the eight years of the Obama administration, the Times never once used the phrase, "Biden - who like President Obama, did not serve in the military..."
We have come to the point where we are absolutely drowning in hypocrisy and double standards. It's frightening to think that with national institutions like the L.A. Times resorting to stuff like this, the average American no longer has any idea where he can go for fair, unbiased reporting of the facts. I almost think the right and left in this country are approaching the status of Shia and Sunni Muslims, where we claim allegiance to the same "religion", but really can't stand each other and wish the other didn't exist.

I don't know MDad not sure the left claims allegiance to the "same" religion as the right or the center for that much. The media bias has been around for sometime, in our day the media whom had some sort of decency, felt some sort of responsibility to the people to not skew, edit, falsify or misinform. We have come to a point where it is outright blatant. What we see now not just outright bias but lies and propaganda and character assisnation is now considered news? If you have not seen one of the many edits (videos) now being put out covering the past two years of the Russia Collusion Hoax here is a reminder how off the handle this media or religion has gone...

Print media trying to prevent what's left of their reputation from going completely off the cliff? Or is it too late?

Just imagine if the shoe was on the other foot? If a Trump supporter had shot up a gathering of Democratic congressmen?

Can we invoke the 25th Amendment for a Speaker of the House? If Donald Trump was this incoherent there would be universal cries in Congress for him to step down.

Liberals pretending to be journalists clearly think their readers are stupid.

Say what you want about Sarah Huckabee Sanders, EVERY White House press secretary spins for the President. Every one. That's their job. Josh Earnest, who last served the role for Obama, was no more "truthful" than Sanders. The difference is that the media spent eight years licking Obama's feet, accepting all his statements as Gospel truth. The treatment of Sarah Sanders over the past two years is nothing less than shameful, especially consuming the media's peddling of false hysteria over the Russian Collusion Hoax.
Obama had three press secretaries, all three white men. Both Bush and Trump have had females fill the role. But Reublicans are the ones who hate women. Okay. Trump ought to throw Candace Owens in there just to troll the media.

There is no question that media bias exists. None.
Fox is as bad as CNN, they just swing the other way.
The biggest issue I continue to see is the proliferation of "talk shows" that are passed off as "news programs" because they happen to be on a "news" station. The vast majority of programming amount to nothing more than opinion columns in the newspaper.

I don't agree with the Washington Post characterization of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, but she did go far further than just spin a story in favor of the President.

I don't agree with the Washington Post characterization of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, but she did go far further than just spin a story in favor of the President. I don’t think her words form any level of Gospel truth, but I do believe she did her job very well. I give everyone a few slips, even Jim Acosta who, in my opinion, is the embodiment of rude and disrespectful and I believe Trump accurately scolded him as a “rude human being.” Sanders is, of course, a human being so will, from time to time, make those gaffes (such as “countless FBI agents”), but the feckless Washington Post calls that “gaslighting” and they are either purposefully lying, or they don’t know what gaslighting is. in any case, I relished her smack-down of some of these smug, condescending reporters who think their birthright is to interrupt and to talk over others. I will miss her adept handling of those duties, but my forlornness will be mitigated somewhat if Trump appoints Anthony Scaramucci to replace her (someone pass the popcorn, the Liberal Heads Exploding Show is about to begin).

...if Trump appoints Anthony Scaramucci to replace her (someone pass the popcorn, the Liberal Heads Exploding Show is about to begin). That would be a true Saturday afternoon matinee. The only question would be whether or not Scaramucci will do the fandago. (Sorry, I watched Bohemian Rhapsody last night and I couldn't help myself.)

...Fox is as bad as CNN, they just swing the other way... Interesting you say that, because for years. the mantra was that MSNBC & Fox were mirror equivalents with CNN being knighted as the holy middle. I always held that CNN was slightly left, Fox was slightly right and MSNBC was off the map left. However, since Trump was elected, a good portion of CNN (Maddow, Lemon, etc) has gone further & further left. They have left the Jake Tappers of the CNN world alone on an mainstream left island.
