The kid had worn it to school previously and had been getting flack for it. But let's even take that out of the equation altogether. Look at the optics of that video, and what would have been an international news story had the races of the kids been reversed. Maybe. But for me, this is kid stuff. I guess I'm just either not outraged any more, or don't celebrate being a victim.Which is understandable these days. The real outrage pointed out by credo, is how the " media" presents things to " the stupid sheep" - that's who they think you and I are. The exact same violent acts committed by person of different skin tone or sex on others of different skin tone or sex, or God forbid " sexual orientation," will determine what and how much of the "story" we will see. Will determine what our media Gods will tell us to think ! . . . they do this because they " know" we're dumb and need their assistance with that.

I just read an article in The Medium proclaiming Trump won’t even get the GOP nomination....
And they use as their support, Rachel Maddows research and Alexandra O-C’s interview questions...

If Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez insists Trump won't get the nomination, or that the sun rises in the west, you can book it as fact.

I guess he probably went to public schools. As a 12 year participant of parochial school, I have to ask why you would say that? This kid is obviously spoiled, used to getting what he wants or throwing a tantrum until he does. That type of kid exists at both public & private schools, especially now that many parochial schools have given up on Catholicism in favor of being known as private schools.

Pretty sure he was joking.

Or referring to the notion all public schools are run and ruled by left thinking minds.... if so he is probably 99% correct in his assumption. Or, he is simply applying the same notion that he applies in high school football or sport, simply bash publics.

Meh... I went to catholic school also, and sent my kids to public school. There's pros and cons to both, and any true belief of superiority is unfounded.
I've engaged with many of the private school guys here for years, and have yet to meet one that really believes his parochial high school education is "superior" to a public HS. It's high school for Pete's sake. The message board stuff is just banter.

Meh... I went to catholic school also, and sent my kids to public school. There's pros and cons to both, and any true belief of superiority is unfounded. I have done the same. My kids went to Tesoro, I didn't believe a better education (for them) was available at either SMCHS or JSerra. The one aspect of parochial school that I used to say was a benefit was the ability to administer discipline, especially for boys. I don't know if it is still the same way, but discipline wasn't an issue for my boys, so it became a moot point. They were shy, so the social aspect of going to school with kids from their neighborhood was more important. My daughter, on the other hand, would have had the nuns flinging holy water & rosary beads at her. Many non Catholics (and some Catholics) who send their kids to parochial school do indeed believe those schools to be superior . That is why they drive around with MD or Servite stickers on the back of their SUV. Just a few short decades ago, Catholic families never advertised on their vehicles where their kids went to school.

I do think the education was better at Servite than it would have been at Rancho Alamitos, which was where I would have gone if my parents didn't send me to Servite. Discipline is one of the major reasons, but not my discipline, everybody's discipline. I was never in fear at Servite, and only got in 1 fight there, and that one involved one punch each, some jawing and it was over. The "bad" kids at Servite were guilty of nothing worse than smoking Marlboros in the southeast corner of the school yard.
The academics at Servite were very good at preparing kids for college, myself included, but I can't think of a single time that I ever used calculus, out in the real world. I kind of think auto shop or wood shop would have been much more useful, at least to me.

Ya just last night I pulled up behind a fancy Toyota and thought maybe the Professor.... was actually shocked to see this in Newport, maybe even a first..., it's usually a red MD sticker I'll catch on a daily basis at Gelson's or Fashion Island.....

My Servite sticker is on the side window behind my driver's seat.
