With inflation at almost 8% and that's without gas or food in the mix why is gold and silver still flat?

I got some gold a few years ago and it was about 1.3K. Now it is about 1.8K. It is inching up.

You know that feeling you regret when the opposition is in power and in a way you have to root for some things to go awry even though it may hurt the entire country? You feel bad but you need a opening to exploit in the upcoming election? Well so Biden hasn't had me rooting for any mistakes or missteps because his entire Presidency has been nothing but and much more, a utter disaster on all fronts and issues. Another month, another record setting inflation report...
