Can't say I'm even a little surprised at the effort to link Trump to Epstein instead of Clinton. But I was a little bit at this attack on capitalism.
It's the Salon though. Might be part for the course with them.

I'm not sure I follow Salon's logic. So Epstein is a pervert because he's a capitalist?

Correct. And because Trump is a capitalist, he must be a pervert.
You mean you don't know Monty Python witch logic?

Then if being a capitalist makes one a pervert, why aren't we all prostituting underage girls? I'm really trying to understand the logical cause-and-effect at work here.

I'm not sure I follow Salon's logic. So Epstein is a pervert because he's a capitalist? No, they’re saying it’s capitalism that is morally bankrupt and wealth accumulation is part of the ill-gotten gains of a corrupt system. salon has long been a tool of the ardent left so take what they say about anything with a grain of salt. While I don’t doubt Trump participated in the so-called Lolita express, it is wrong to use the very evidence that absolutely indicts Bill Clinton and, without mentioning him, excoriate Trump for his sins (not that he shouldn’t be): It’s like we were talking about at last night’s baseball game: I don’t really care if the umpire is going to call a ball, a strike, but be consistent so BOTH teams have to play with your ineptitude.

If we accept the premise that the wealth accumulation that capitalism makes possible leads to moral bankruptcy, then shouldn't almost all those wealthy capitalists be sexual perverts? And wouldn't the obverse of that be that there are no sexual perverts among anyone that capitalism has made poor? So just what the hell is this dork trying to say?

See, but the elephant in the room is, virtually all,of those extolling the virtues of socialism, and disparaging the heathen capitalists are, themselves, capitalism’s beneficiaries... and their house of cards starts to pull apart as the wretched poor (I assume that’s us, but don’t know for sure) start to understand that.

That's one thing that doesn't get enough exposure: The hypocrisy of multi-millionaires like Joe Biden, Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders decrying the evils of the wealthy not doing their fair share to help the poor. One has to wonder what, other than blowing a lot of hot air, they are doing.

This is typical Left-wing garbage "analysis" in which they suddenly rediscover some great injustice at precisely the moment it seems to be benefitting their political/ideological enemies.
The wealthy have an advantage in the justice system? What will we find out next--that dogs bark and cats meow? Anybody there at Salon heard about the O.J. Simpson murder trial? Yeah, wealthy defendants can mount a better defense. Shocking.
What would be more accurate to say today is that not wealth so much, but political affiliation, is what gains you leverage (or immunity) when a crime has been committed. If you're a Democrat bigwig or donor like Hillary Clinton, Keith Ellison, or Jeffrey Epstein, you get to skate. If you're part of the Trump team in any way (like Gen. Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, or George Papadopoulos) you get the book thrown at you for manufactured process crimes. I suspect the only reason the Epstein case is now being resuscitated is the vain hope that it could somehow smear Trump (but it won't work).
In addition to well-connected liberals (John Brennan or Susan Rice) getting a free pass, RINO Deep State creatures like James Comey, Andrew McCabe, and Robert Mueller are also allowed to abuse justice and/or break the law as long as they are attempting to destroy Donald Trump. Them's the new rules....but I'm hoping upon hope that AG Bill Barr has the guts to change that ugly state of affairs.

You really think there's substance to the Clinton killing theory? It always felt like a partisan hit piece...lots of accusations, but nothing concrete.

You really think there's substance to the Clinton killing theory? It always felt like a partisan hit piece...lots of accusations, but nothing concrete. Generally in my life, I’m an unapologetic “ if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck” kind of guy... in short, I’m not a big fan of coincidence. If a kid is constantly benched at Santa Ana High School and, over the Summer, his Dad moves into an apartment in Anaheim High Schools district (which, by the way, did happen when I was at AHS, when poaching was heartily discouraged in CIF), my impulse, upon seeing him start at AHS is, that move was not a coincidence. direct answer to your question is, I’m not sure. It sure seems coincidental that close to 70 people who have had some level of dirt against the Clintoons suddenly end up dead, either by a suspicious suicide or under really strange circumstances...I mean, Vince Foster shooting himself in the back of the head? Really? so, either some Clintoon sycophant is running around offing these people thinking he’s doing them a solid... or the Clintoons have a hit squad they commission any time someone might spill the beans... OR, of course, the last 20 years have just been a series of one big coincidence after another after another. i confess, of those theee possibilities, I want to believe the second because I have never liked the Clintoons...

It is my contention NOBODY cares billy bob, Bill Richardson, Alan Derschowitz and many other Democrats boarded the "Lolita express", they knew, however hilary was also involved!

And the Seth Rich murder was just a "bungled robbery" (in which nothing was taken).
