Objection, assumes facts not in evidence. Where have I ever written that I still support Servite? Well, you're avatar shows you holding up a dead fish, so it's a logical assumption. Again incorrect. That 8lb bass was alive in the picture and was released back into the water moments later to live out the rest of its life. You MD guys are wrong so much, to pretend any assumption you make could be logical is comical...

It appears that being surrounded by hideous coeds and horny priests for 4 years completely destroys a Mater Dei's boy ability to perform sexually later in life. On occasion those MD grads return to campus with nothing better to do........

Wait--I thought Mater Dei had a policy of not taking senior transfers from within the Trinity League? Desperate times call for desperate measures... that's what i thought. And not only New Zealand is coming, but Ross is also a soon to be senior coming from inside the conference. MD losing may have been the worst thing to happen for everyone else. Everything is on the table. They ain't holding back.I'm entertained Rewind two years ago--and last year--and the same could be said of St. John Bosco. Hence, the acquisitions of Trent McDuffie, Spencer Lytle, Titus Toler, Logan Loya, Jabari Bates etc., etc..... It's gotten to the point between Bosco and Mater Dei that neither can tolerate anything less than a CIF, State, and mythical "National" title, so coming in 2nd only fuels the ongoing arms race. It's ridiculous.

4-stars and 5-stars; all others are politely declined admission. You can't say there aren't standards. Credo, with all due respect: (3) And please, enough with the standards. It was only a few years ago that a touted athlete from a public school tried to transfer to Mater Dei with a 0.16 GPA (i.e. five F's and one D). He was declined. Imagine our surprise less than two weeks later when he was enrolled at Servite and a member of their football team. I guess the school's vaunted rigorous academic standards are somewhat flexible. Since no name was supplied I'm going to assume good will on the part of MDDad and attempt to explain how the above scenario could even be possible:
1. Any kid who had five F's and one D as Fall semester grades wouldn't even have been eligible to play football during that season, nor would he be accepted as a transfer to any Catholic school since he would have too many classes to make up to possibly graduate. Any kid at Servite who failed five classes would be at the point of withdrawing from school. Period. 2. If a kid was looking to transfer in January (as is typically the case), he could easily have those kinds of grades after a week of school if he simply failed to turn in assignments that first week, so essentially a snapshot of his grades--say on, January 13--would be meaningless.

I’m an MD grad so I better get my wiener out of my hand. Back to the discussion at hand... no pun intended. Regarding New Zealand Williams, obviously him going there is because Manny Douglas from Narbonne is taking over the program. Word is that there is a large influx of players into St. Bernard. Yes last year the obscure school located near a runway at LAX was a nobody in D12. That is soon to change. I’m sure nothing unscrupulous is happening either! You guys aren't going to believe this, but my cousin is the principal at St. Bernard's. He is a Bernard's alum from the 1990's, as his dad (my uncle) who played QB there in the late 1960s and later at Santa Clara. They've taken in some transfers from Calabasas; don't know about any others. Looks like they're making a big push to raise the profile of the school, which has fallen on hard times in recent years. My cousin was hired in 2018 to salvage the school, whose enrollment is below 200. I sincerely hope they're dotting their I's and crossing their T's in all this. A little ironic, though, that a school in Orange County whose football roster has had a complete ethnic makeover in the past five years is raising eyebrows about another school's transfers.

I can confirm that Manny Douglas has NOT been hired at St. Bernard's--at least as of today. They're just starting the interview process this week for the HC job.

Eyebrows are being raised because big-time athletes are transferring in numbers into a Division 13 private school with 200 students rumored to be hiring a troubled head coach. It has nothing to do with ethnic makeovers.

St. Bernard's has had a largely black student body for some time now, so there's no ethnic makeover there (unlike on Edinger). Big-time athletes are allowed to transfer to places other than Mater Dei and Bosco.

So who is going to QB the Monarchs and the Braves next season? There have to be some promising freshmen at each school who can be groomed to take the helm for the next few years. Or are each of these schools still shopping around for a 4-star transfer?
