I don't know about you guys, but i'm thinking I might react a little differently than these 2 NYPD cops did. I'm hoping this is just some staged prank, or some other circumstance.

I lived in NYC for 9 years and that was not even remotely ever the situation with New York's Finest.

As people, I find most police officers to be mirrors of what they encounter on the street. If you are belligerent to them, you will get roughed up. If you show respect & defer to them, even if you disagree with them, they will treat you with respect as well, even if they choose to write you up or arrest you.
The thing is, their attitude towards you will always be a reaction (IMO). If you expect the cop to be proactive in handling the situation in the way you want it handled, then you will be disappointed. It took some years, but I finally learned to treat each police officer in a manner he or she may not have yet deserved and by the end of the encounter, things will have gone much smoother.

Hard to believe that someone could dump a bucket of water on a police officer with total impunity.
