It’s been a few years since I've had any interest in TOB. but it is fascinating at this point to see the responses to the election blowout. Previously they had been right up there with the party line attributions of fascism (why is it that no one who uses that term seems to know what it means?) nazi, threat to democracy and so on. Since the majority of the country voted for Trump it appears they've at least realized that ship has sailed. There doesn't appear to have been any introspection as to "Gosh, maybe we were wrong about something." Baby steps are better than no steps at all, I suppose. So the hot topic for venting now is the Trump recommendations for government posts.
You read these critiques and you wonder how it can be that this is the same crowd that for years thought that a demented octogenarian politician was fine to be president and that an intellectual bantamweight who was too petrified to give a press conference while campaigning for the presidency was just fine?
Naif that I am, I was sorta hoping for something a little more insightful. Rookie mistake. No, this is a real world demonstration of the 9th Beatitude:
