I pay a plumber to fix my sink, not give me his opinion on politics. Johnny Grassfairy is paid to kick a ball into the net, not give his political opinion while on the playing field.
Further, his statement is idiotic. He has given away all the responsibility to protect himself, demanding a faceless entity to protect himself. He is a dolt.

Exactly, RSM... on both points. first thing I thought when I heard his comment was, “Congress? It’s not Congress’s job.” We can argue the accuracy of my thought, but the point is as you said, he obviates the real person responsible for my safety... AND he does so in an inappropriate venue. |
