Loathe though I am to nitpick right back, but an immigrant is simply someone who chooses to reside permanently in a foreign country.

HOWEVER, I do understand that the use of “immigrant” instead of the also proper “alien” perpetuates (if not allows) people like these democrats to continue to misdirect the focus from the “illegal” part.

so, I agree with your posit that we will be better served to use the term “illegal alien.  

I don't know if this belongs here or not, but here's one of those lefty loony things I heard on the radio two days ago.

The talk show host did a rather lengthy interview with a woman who was clearly emotionally distraught. She is a lesbian who has been dating another lesbian in a committed relationship for years. Her partner has decided that she is a transgender "man", and has begun the surgeries and hormone therapy to convert to a "man". Now the interviewee is caught between a rock and a hard spot. If she accepts her partner as a man, then she must admit to herself that she is attracted to a man and must reject her lifelong identify as a lesbian. If she continues to identify as a lesbian who is only attracted to women, then she must reject the "maleness" of her partner and continue to accept her only as a woman, thus probably wrecking the relationship. The entire conundrum is destroying her mentally and emotionally.

I felt sympathy for her between my endless peals of laughter, but this is the kind of freakin' rabbit hole the left has sent us down, and backing out again will be impossible for the millions who have bought into this crap hook, line and sinker.

In my never-to-be-considered “humble” opinion, homosexuals and other psycho-sexual aberrations do not know “love” and this lesbian’s conundrum supports that opinion.

any war or conflagration, many crimes, and many accidents leave one or both members of real couples incapable of physical intimacy, yet real couples stay in love:  No drama, no crocodile tears (although probably some real ones)... just some grief and eventual assimilation of the issue... adaptation to it.

this person, if she ever knew love, would not care what equipment her partner sports.  If she had any idea at all what real, actual (selfless) love is, she would be more concerned about her partner than herself.

homosexuals are not alone in this ignorance of love.  Many, possibly most today, believe lust to be love. 

This makes me want to phone in a double order of chicken tenders right now. These "protesters" need jobs.
