pretty surprising as well the detail in which the OCR wrote this up in specifics and detail, & everyone for years has said it was MD the brunt of the hit pieces! seems damaging enough that even non athlete kids parents would move to another parochial school next semester, if not immediately.

Besides the obvious disgusting behavior of the players, the admin missteps were downright inept.
I really don't get the infatuation with grabbing another guy's junk.

I really don't get the infatuation with grabbing another guy's junk. at least that would be somewhat understandable, minor males twirling and twisting fellow minors junk needs a bit more explaining in regards to infatuation? wtf are they teaching or is it allowing in our schools w/ kids? |

People are going to obviously draw comparisons to the MD hazing lawsuit from 2021. What will be interesting is whether criminal charges are formally brought forward by the OC DA. So far they have not, at least to my knowledge.

Here's a bit of good news for the SMCHS Eagles. The Eagles' freshman football team with a 4-0 league record (6-1 overall) hosted the Servite freshman team, also with a 4-0 league record (9-0 overall). The Friars unbeaten record came to an end as the Eagles destroyed them 35-0.  The Friars finished 9-1 (4-1) and the Eagles are the Trinity League Champions 7-1 (5-0). I didn't see the game, but I'm curious to learn if the Friar Varsity's QB shortage (losing Colin O'Connor to Yorba Linda a week or so ago, and Leo Hannan's unimpressive performance in his first game back, after the leg injury that sidelined him for seven weeks), may have required moving another freshman QB up to varsity? At any rate, congratulations to both the Champion Eagles, and to the 9-1 Friars on their great seasons. |
