With everyone making the playoffs in D1 & 2, how long did it take you to figure out what the objective is now in D 1/2 for all but the top 4 teams?

Luca, what would you prefer we do instead? .... Do you have another topic in mind? Faulkner? Shakespeare? I don't know. Maybe we could start a reading circle or book club. We could get together every Friday night during the football season and compare our interpretations ofincomprehensibly symbolic passages so we wouldn't have to discuss how many high schools Shazaam "Z-Dog" Washington has attended or how the new QB travels 310 miles to high school every day. I'm probably just pissed because the parochial game has become so corrupted that it's just not that interesting anymore . I would pay to see Luca as a ref, especially if he is mic'd up to explain the calls. The game would last 7 hours.
Plus, you know one of the coaches on one team would turn out to be Wabash...

I read in the LB Press-Telegram that for the 2019 season, CIF-SS has created a "hybrid" D1/2 for the top 24 teams, the top 8 of which at the end of the season will be in an 8-team D1 playoffs; the other 16 will compete in D2.
Great: so instead of 13 teams competing for nothing, only 5 will compete for the honor of getting blasted by the Big Three.
Thoughts?

It's laughable.
They just created an incentive to lose every game...so the teams can compete for a ring in D2. Basically a 10 game preseason was just created with every team making the playoffs.
Can't believe that was intentional.

SK80 - Think there will be some playoff implications on the line on 11/1 @ NHHS? It's not like D1/2 where EVERYONE makes the playoffs, and unless you're MD or Bosco, you're gunning for the #9 seed.
