...She and Trump may have been the two most rotten human beings to ever run for the presidency in the two major parties at the same time. However, when it comes to their visions for America, Bernie's is much more terrifying... I think this is what those of us who support Trumps actions in spite of who he is have been saying to you for 3 years. Who the person is, how nice & genuine and wonderful they may be, does not matter. What matters (to the country) is what they do & will do. There has not been much that Trump has done that hasn't been in the best interest of the country. Hillary is a double whammy, she is a horrible person and her agenda hurts the country.

Reminds me of a conversation I had just yesterday. by now we’ve all heard the story of the guy who is reportedly a youth pastor, nearing the end of a 10K run and smacks a female reporter on the hiney as he passes her. Of course she was in the air at the time, so it is caught on film. heres the simitar part: I don’t know the guy or the reporter. From the video, I cannot see what actually happened. but the reporter went out and got an attorney: Gloria Allred... HER, I know. Her very involvement causes me to doubt what really happened. I don’t know or care about those two people involved. But Gloria Allred is a horrible person and her agenda hurts all involved.

And I think I've usually agreed.
Here's where I strongly disagree. Who the person is, and the image he projects to the rest of the world and its leaders, as well as to our children, is critically important. I'm embarrassed every day that Trump represents me to people in other countries who don't know me.

From the perspective that I cannot expect Christian behaviors from non-Christians, I think RSM is right up to a point, I don’t believe most of our past presidents can’t fit into how I define “Christian,” and, honestly, their salvation is not my job... it would be great for the country if we had a truly born again Christian president... but absent that, I have to ignore certain aspects of our presidents’ behavior, IF he is doing the job.
First, though, my duty as a voter is to ferret out the lies and unfounded hyperbole his opposition throws up [sic] at him....

At first reading, this is entirely too elitist for me, almost as though you believe only Christians can be good people of high moral and ethical behavior. I certainly can't buy into that. There is a behavioral Grand Canyon between Donald Trump and what you might consider a good Christian...and there are millions of people in that canyon who would conduct themselves in a manner better than this president.
Is it not also your duty as a voter to ferret out the lies and unfounded hyperbole he throws at others? Certainly when it comes to lies and untrue exaggerations, Trump gives twice as much as he gets.

I'm embarrassed every day that Trump represents me to people in other countries who don't know me. I believe the bigger problem is when anyone believes that another person truly represents them. You represent you, no one else. Your parents don't represent you, your children don't represent you, the people at your church don't represent you. If someone close to you is a jerk, that is not on you. If that same person is the greatest person in the world, that isn't on you either. Being embarrassed by someone means you believe you are somehow responsible for their behavior and would therefore take credit for it if it was something positive. You can find someone embarrassing or be proud for them for what they do, but to internalize & personalize it is giving yourself credit or blame for something you don't have control over. As for kids, the ones that don't go to Mater Dei are smart enough to figure that out on their own. They look at their aunts and uncles, their parents siblings and whether they admire them or despise them is no reflection on their parents. If they can do that for someone who is a blood relative, some guy who won an election should really have no impact on their life by the way he acts, only by what he does that affects the nation. Let me flip this on you. I think that you are like I in believing that Justin Trudeau is a major league tool & snowflake. Does the way he behave make you think less of Canadians?

I’m not going to argue with you, but you clearly misunderstood what I wrote. has nothing to do at all with what you call “elitist.” I expressed a preference BUT ALSO said it doesn’t matter [what I want] as long as he can do the job.

I'm giving myself the LOL on this one. Stand by... she doesn’t just lay down and she never takes “no” from the voters because she’s so much smarter than they are.

I'm giving myself the LOL on this one. Stand by... she doesn’t just lay down and she never takes “no” from the voters because she’s so much smarter than they are. And hasn't she earned it..? Or is it deserves it? As per, when quoting I refuse to carry the attachment forward so to save screen space, in this case I should be applauded for not copying that mug for your eyes only....

Every once in a while Medusa feels the need to raise her ugly head on social media--from whence it is immediately smacked down.
