At least Obama has done us the service of exposing the entire climate change hysteria as a hoax.
Perhaps the great public servant might want to move back to Chicago to help address that city's massive problems? Naaahhhh.....

Can you tell the difference between who we've elected to run our country, and TV evangelists?
Me neither.

Maybe Barack and Michelle figure that within 12 years, they will have traded up to a $30 million home at higher elevation. This one is just a starter house.

The next time someone attempts to play the 'settled science' card in an argument over climate change, try not to laugh too hard.

Wait... You mean we don't have to destroy our economy to save the US, and only the US, from climate change?

I saw a map that I can’t find just now.
It was a map of the world that showed comparative contributions of greenhouse gasses, bu country.
The U.S. contributes almost insignificant amounts to whatever part of the “problem” is man-caused, while those countries spdsignated as paying the least according to the Kyoto agreement are the biggest contributors.

China contributes more greenhouse gasses (~28% of the world's total) than the United States (~14%) and European Union (~9%) combined. California contributes about 7% of the U.S. total, or about 1% of the world's total. So why the hell do California politicians believe that even if we cut our state emissions down to zero, it will somehow make a difference to the planet? It's just another example of doing something to make us feel better about ourselves, even though it will have no impact.

It's what they do. They're like a perpetual motion machine -- they spin around and around, all the while spending exorbitant amounts of money, and there's never any tangible result. I read yesterday that over $1 billion has now been spent in Los Angeles County on fighting homelessness since it was first identified as a problem that needed to be addressed. Yet the number of homeless continues to skyrocket higher every year. So where did all that money go?

Seems like they’d be money ahead on that homeless deal if they would buy a acre or two on the outskirts, right on a bus route, and build 50 or 60 tiny houses... then, keep doing that until everyone has a roof over their head.

Except that the misnomer "homelessness" is not the problem, for that would be solved with more homes. The problem is "mentally ill & addicted street people", to which the solution is to remove them from society and place them in mental institutions, jail or rehab centers (or San Clemente island, I really don't care).

It's been reported that the average cost of a housing unit for a homeless person in L.A. County is between $400,000 and $500,000. How does putting a drug addict or a person with a mental illness into a half million dollar home solve his problems?

Fordama cannot (maybe will not, but experience strongly supports the former) answer me.
Local “Climate Strike” kids cannot even acknowledge I’m asking a question that is not rhetorical.
But, maybe one of you can.
Since we are going to be overwhelmed inside of 12 years, and one of the key factors is purported to be rising sea levels because of the melting polar ice caps, how high have the oceans risen since Al Gore told us we only have 10 years to live (25 or so years ago)?
Anyone? Anyone?
