The fact is that many of these schools don't want to play MD or Bosco simply because the lack of depth they have and the risk of an injury during a game that has no 4 or 5 star recruits going against 4/5 star recruits is a physical burden that could cost them the rest of their season. Also, all private schools will bus kids away from their local HS. I don't blame any public school avoiding scheduling any private school. I hope the whole trinity league qualifies for D1 playoffs (oh ya and Mission you're included in D1) that way we can get a more equitable D2 playoff scenario. Lastly, it's clear Villa Park is not what they have been. Maybe D.A. needs a new IE rep. Getting embarrassed by 50 or 60 does nothing for public schools.

My apologies to any Bosco fans here but I don't know how Negro looks at himself in the mirror. I'm curious as to what you mean here. His tactics of bringing in players or the way he acted last night? Seriously curious. No feelings would be offended. I'm not like some who get butt hurt when anything negative is said about their team.

How did he act last night?
Plus, I feel a little bit like Brett Favre on that YouTube video admitting that he never knew what a nickel back was two years into the NFL, but I feel like I should ask after all this time: what does “butt hurt“ mean? I’ve read that phrase for years now and have no idea what it means.............Luca

How could it take Brett Favre two years to figure out that a nickel back is a really crappy Canadian rock band.

Seriously curious. No feelings would be offended. I'm not like some who get butt hurt when anything negative is said about their team. My apologies for not responding sooner. Wasn't referring to anything in the recent Servite-Bosco game. I was speaking to his role in turning his program into a win-at-all costs football factory, which in turn prompted Mater Dei to join the arms race, and now JSerra appears to be trying to jump on the same bandwagon. He has had no scruples about bringing in senior year transfers from his league rivals, which both improves his team while simultaneously weakening direct challengers to Trinity League bragging rights. Running up scores for national ranking purposes. The endless array of uniforms meant to appeal to callow (4-star) youth easily impressed with the latest bling (the U. of Oregon model); the "turnover chain" last year that aped the U. of Miami; it all degrades traditional HSFB, in my opinion. Nothing personal against the kids, teachers, and alumni of a school that already had a proud and rich history to build upon. No rules have been broken--and he wasn't the first to venture down this road; he simply busted down the door and took it beyond anything anyone ever considered--and for good reasons of fair play and sportsmanship. The lust to not merely win, but to dominate your competition is a dangerous thing. And it's reduced the current regular season and playoffs at Division 1 to simply a preparation for the one-game season at the end. No drama, no upsets, no "anybody can win or lose on any given Friday" in the Trinity League.
