For decades, Republican voters lamented that Republican presidents would not fight back when the Democrats pulled dirty tricks & political moves on them. This one does fight back.

I believe their end game is to hamper Trumps 2020 run. They already knew everything he said in the letter, but also know impeachment, per se, is not what they are after (if they were, they started WAY too late)...
There’s another rumor floating around that Pelosi, herself, has designs on sitting in the Oval Office, so has to get rid of both Trump and Pence, before the end of his term... which won’t happen with only 13 months to the election and 16 to the end of his term...
So, there must be a more obvious reason (because the zealots can’t conceive of anything more complex).

"Whistleblower" wants to remain anonymous? via Conservative Treehouse: A report from the Wall Street Journal outlines a request by lawyers for the fake CIA ‘whistleblower’ that ultimately spells doom for the entire phony construct of the impeachment construction by anonymous complaint.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting the anonymous gossipers’ lawyers are now requesting official impeachment testimony by letters not an in-person appearance. If this is accurate such a request speaks directly to the abject stupidity of the claim:It was already ridiculous to think a presidential impeachment, to remove the most powerful elected political representative of The United States, could continue based on an anonymous complaint. However, expecting the same complainant/accuser to remain invisible during the process is so far beyond nonsensical, the light from where nonsense emanates wouldn’t reach this narrative for a year.
Yes, feel free to pummel the left-wing nuts based on the absurdity of this request. Only the most raving Moonbat imaginable would think they could impeach a sitting U.S. President via a ‘Dear Sir’ complaint letter to congresstheconservativetreehouse.com/2019/10/10/if-accurate-the-impeachment-game-is-over-fake-whistleblower-lawyers-now-retreat-from-testimonial-appearance/#more-173381

If the whistle blower is anonymous, how can the pundits lament he is receiving death threats?

The Whistleblower/Leaker has connections to Biden. What do you know...……….. www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/if-the-ukraine-whistleblower-worked-with-former-vice-president-joe-biden-democrats-have-some-explaining-to-doWhen officials revealed last week that the anonymous Ukraine whistleblower had alleged ties to a 2020 Democratic candidate, two important questions were raised: Who was the candidate? And what was the nature of their relationship? We now can answer the first: The candidate was likely former Vice President Joe Biden. The connection makes sense when you connect the report to what we already know about the whistleblower: He or she likely had a position in the White House, given the proximity of his allegations. And as the New York Times reported in September, the whistleblower was likely an intelligence officer of some sort, given his familiarity with protocol. He or she might have even been detailed to the National Security Council at some point. “From everything we know about the whistleblower and his work in the executive branch, then there is absolutely no doubt he would have been working with Biden when he was vice president,” a retired CIA officer told the Washington Examiner yesterday.

Nancy clearly doesn't have the votes to even begin an impeachment "inquiry", much less an actual vote on Articles of Impeachment. They can't even name a crime, statute, provision of the Constitution, or Presidential Oath of Office that has been violated. What a joke.

She needs no vote to begin an impeachment inquiry, and the assertion made in your post that they need to hold a vote if they wish to enforce subpoenas is also false. Is it constitutionally acceptable for the House speaker to initiate an impeachment “by means of nothing more than a press conference”? In short, yes.
The constitutional text on this issue is spare. The Constitution simply says that the House has the sole power of impeachment. Ultimately, if the House wants to impeach someone, it needs to muster a simple majority in support of articles of impeachment that can be presented to the Senate. How the House gets there is entirely up to the chamber itself to determine. There is no constitutional requirement that the House take two successful votes on impeachment, one to authorize some kind of inquiry and one to ratify whatever emerges from that inquiry. An impeachment inquiry is not “invalid” because there has been no vote to formally launch it, and any eventual impeachment would not be “invalid” because the process that led to it did not feature a floor vote authorizing a specific inquiry. The blog article is quite informative and would dispel a lot of your misconceptions about what impeachment is and how it works. Worth a read. www.lawfareblog.com/must-house-vote-authorize-impeachment-inquiryThey don't have to...just ask Lindsey Graham.

If a troll posts on a message board but no one reads it or responds, did it really happen?
