Maybe had not the evil DNC and their super-delegates fix their side of the race maybe a man whom was decent (but with bad policies) would have beat Trump.... so again, go back whom may be or is to blame... HILLARY.

1). Nobody has claimed that Donald Trump was the best Republican candidate available. The same question can be put to the Democratic party regarding hillary clinton.
2). He did keep hillary clinton out of office, which was a vital initial step in swamp deputrification.
3). You know as well as I do that primaries often are often tilted by the enthusiasm of the more extreme activists. We see this even now in the Democratic primaries, which is why someone like elizabeth warren and Mr. Bean are still considered possible candidates.
You know, it might be hillary's fault that he was ultimately selected. You recall the reasoning when the Kenyan replied to his friend, when told there was no way he was fast enough to outrun the lion poised in front of them: "I only have to be faster than you."
Maybe that's what they felt about Trump versus hillary..................................Luca

It so obvious, those on the left are still so damn mad Hillary lost and Trump won. Three years later still spinning their wheels, stories, false narratives and allegations.... so very tiring. And thank you Congress for doing nothing else, what a waste of capitol. Maybe for the better.

Thankfully so. I'll take trump, warts and all, over whatever you want to call the options on the other side. So far, I agree. still want a viable 3rd party to surface.

Level 5 Trump Derangement Syndrome on display. Trump tweets out a cute meme honoring the dog who help with the killing of al-Baghdadi and WH reporters then accuse the President of "disseminating fake news" with a "doctored photo."
This is why so many people hate and distrust the mainstream media. And these people are humorless to boot.

I sometimes wonder if we don't owe a curious debt of gratitude to Donald Trump. I knew that there was bias in the media in general. Nothing new and you can condition yourself to that.
But the sophomoric level to which the biased reporting manifests itself over the last few years has been really educational. Baghdadi is an "austere Muslim scholar"? There was some weird criticism I can't recall of the White House Christmas decorations last year. It goes on and on. If these people were intelligent and trying to influence others they wouldn't be so over the top. Instead they're preaching to their own limited choir and alienating everyone else. It's gotten to the point that before I read an article now I sometimes check to see who wrote it and from what source so I can a priori decide whether it's worth my time..................................Luca

Except that this would be a very bad time for that to happen. It would make it more likely that no candidate can get 270 electoral votes, and that means that the Pelosi/Schiff shit-show would get to choose our president.

You must have not been paying attention if you think it's just the last few years.
Remember the Obama "world apology tour"...I'll bet many here still think that was a thing.
How about the "terrorist fist bump" shared by the Obamas.
Your views about media bias are themselves biased.

Some of the former religious scholar's students seemed bummed that the Professor is on an extended sabbatical, and class has been canceled.

It's a good point, but it's mathematically unlikely. For it to happen (a) the two major candidates would have to be very close in electoral votes, and (b) the third-party candidate would have to "poach" the electoral votes of one or more states, depending on their size. What third-party candidate could do that?
Still, if there's a one-in-a-million chance that Nancy Pelosi could be in a position to pick our next president, we should turn over heaven and earth to prevent it.

I grudgingly agree... but that means voting for the least objectionable... again.

How about the "terrorist fist bump" shared by the Obamas. Your views about media bias are themselves biased. Obama did, in fact, go around running down America while overseas in 2008 and beyond...so that "was a thing" however one wants to characterize it. One single commentator (who almost no one has ever heard of) made reference to how others were calling the Obama's gesture a 'terrorist fist bump'--and she immediately apologized for the misunderstanding. Hey, but at least Obama did offer a tepid apology in 2013 for misleading the country on the single biggest domestic policy agenda of his entire Presidency. Props to that. I have yet to see anyone at the NYT, WaPo, CNN, or MSNBC apologize for spending two years falsely implying that Donald Trump was guilty of treason for "colluding" with Russia during the 2016 campaign. Come back when you have something better.
