Seems like blatant fraud that will once again perish in silence. "Empowering state sponsored speech".... yikes. The trenches of liberalism, socialism and the state dig their trenches ever deeper making California a further lost cause. On that note I wanted to share some interesting comments, reactions, conversations I had with some folks on my most recent trip back to Tennessee and Kentucky. Walking into an old donut, coffee shop, (Ralphs ranked #10 in USA!), a man sitting at the counter observing, listening to us order asked "where ya'll from", our reply "California", his, "Ya'll ain't movin' here are ya?" This type of conversation, reaction played itself out almost everywhere we went during our 10 trip. We got, "you out house huntin'?", "Don't bring your politics here", & of course the comments made about Newsom were priceless. At the end of our trip, leaving out of Louisville, the three immediate people sitting next to us at the gate where California Ex-Pats. The first guy I got into conversation had just moved to Franklin, Tenn. He was a super Republican dude who like many of us predicted where California would end up one day. He referred over and over to "crime" and feeling no longer "safe" in California and railed against the taxes and cost of living. Another guy sitting to the left of me was from Venture, left California two years ago during Covid and was flying back to see his son whom he says he is working on to get to leave the state. The woman next to him overhearing our conversation chimed in as well on her departure from the state. And to cap it off, a couple next to us across the aisle, he a 68 year old African American man was smitten about their move to Savannah, Georgia from Diamond Bar, Ca.! They were flying back to see friends and check on their home they now rent. The bought a house for $250K in Georgia and they say their rent here pays the mortgage back there with cash left to spend. Side note, the guy was a football junkie, went to Banning HS in LA and follows HSF as well so we chatted for half the flight on that! I have been doing the travel thing all my life, never have I encountered on one trip this type of reaction to Californians, it has gone over my lifetime from ENVY to RIDICULE. From the days when most would say ah, lucky, you got it made out there, to you must be crazy to live there.. Sad. Sad because I can't argue against that assessment any longer.

Liberal policies are affecting a lot of beautiful states... Look at Oregon and Washington.
I suppose the to migration into red and blue states will ultimately serve as the catalyst to finally get the national divorce. Just wish it were sooner so I could see it in my lifetime.

I suppose the to migration into red and blue states will ultimately serve as the catalyst to finally get the national divorce. Just wish it were sooner so I could see it in my lifetime. I guess I'm not seeing that migration into blue states that you are. Even hardcore Democrats find it difficult to justify moving to places like California, New York or Illinois. I'd guess many more of them are moving to red states and taking their politics with them, and that may cause more and more red states to start tinting purple. Just think of California and the many reasons people from all over the country moved here since the 1950's: The weather, an easier life, Hollywood, Disneyland, San Francisco, the Monterey peninsula, LaLa Land, Palm Springs, the beaches, the University of California system, Silicon Valley, Santa Barbara and a hundred other appealing places. The only one of those that hasn't been ruined by liberals now is the weather, and for many of us that isn't nearly enough anymore. I wake up every morning hoping this is the day my kids decide to make the move to another state so I can follow them ten minutes later.

The California Air Resources Board voted to end the sale of gas furnaces and gas water heaters by the year 2030. So we need to go electric on everything?
How is SCE and PG&E and others going to store solar and wind energy? By creating an ecological apocalypse strip mining the elements needed for the batteries. Why doesn't anyone think about that?

None of that stuff matters. Gavin Newsom is a good-looking dude, and that will get him 80% of the vote from women and gays. Combine that with election fraud that the left has had another couple years to perfect and beating him will be a tall order.

Highest cost of living Highest homeless population Worst forest management causing fires Worst rainwater storage Employers leaving to other states
But we've got another train on the way that will run parallel to the existing one from Merced to Bakersfield, so we've got that going for us... Which is nice.

And he's just SO cute!

He's running for President and needs to increase his national profile by being the most green and progressive candidate. Hopefully America will wake up to his wokeness.

Hopefully America will wake up to his wokeness. It doesn't matter. The process will just "count ballots" for as many months after the election as it takes for him to win.
