I read an article in the Sacramento Bee this morning while trying to find the final results of Prop. 13. It showed our Governor and his wife voting yesterday and referred to her as "The First Partner." That's another lefty accomplishment which just rubs me the wrong way...………... I don’t know if you ever found the result, but, the ballot measure failed: From Ballotopedia

Hi Dave, I was worried the Libs in CA would do their latest trick of ballot harvesting to overturn the results which they didn't like.

They might be doing something similar, but more sinister: Read an article recently they are rewording that ballot initiative to mask the intent even more and intend to get it onto a future ballot... coming to a precinct near you...

So how much longer will the BIG PUBLIC PENSION STATES keep rooting for America and TRUMP to fail...... So is the "pot" described here the "POT O' GOLDEN STATE"? Or more like "POT" as in "CRAPPER"! CalPERS loses $69 billion in biggest market losses since Great RecessionSacramento Bee ^ | March 22 2020 | The pot of invested money used to pay for hundreds of thousands of California public employee pensions has shrunk by $69 billion as coronavirus has squeezed global markets. The California Public Employees’ Retirement System’s fund balance stood about $335 billion Thursday, down from a record high of $404 billion one month ago, according to CalPERS officials. The California State Teachers’ Retirement System likely experienced similar losses, but the system doesn’t publicly report its value as often as CalPERS does. Its value stood about $243 billion at the end of February. Well, assuming they could free you hostages before they pull the handle, that might not be a bad idea.

I don't live in HB but at this time the optics of this is bad. But again the liberal side is ramping up costs during a crisis..... UNIONS UNIONS and UNIONS asking for more money while many are losing jobs and getting wiped out. Huntington Beach approves raises for city staff despite public outcry www.latimes.com/socal/daily-pilot/news/story/2020-04-07/huntington-beach-approves-raises-for-city-staff-despite-public-outcryDespite uproar from residents, the Huntington Beach City Council on Monday approved raises for more than 700 city employees.Following more than 100 public comments opposing the agreements, the council voted 4-3 in favor of salary increases for city staff represented by the Huntington Beach Police Officer’s Assn., Huntington Beach Municipal Teamsters and Huntington Beach Management Employees’ Organization. Erik Peterson, Lyn Semeta and Jill Hardy dissented. Residents’ comments generally conveyed disappointment and surprise that the city would consider providing raises to employees amid a global pandemic and economic meltdown, which will likely leave many jobless.

If it's not unsafe to go to a supermarket, or a weed shop, or an abortion mill, why is it unsafe to go surfing, or play golf, or go to the park?

Is it true that in very pussified blue states like California, "The Star-Spangled Banner" is officially being dropped as the national anthem and being replaced by "Don't Stand So Close To Me" by the Police?

The LAT sports writer's comment is what gets under my skin. Something about blind obedience has never worked for me. Probably why I'm here, instead of there. Sondheimer's remarks would be like you guys blaming me for getting turned orange over there.

Sondheimer's an idiot, thats what qualifies him to write for that LA rag. Based on past experiences, most likely 1/2 of the people in Newport last week don't even live in Orange County and maybe only 10% or so were locals. Why would you blame Newport Beach for that?
