News today is that Iran Says It Will Resume Operating Centrifuges in Violation of Nuclear Dealobviously, in violation of the agreement Obama signed but out of which Trump pulled us. i realize there will be (are) those here who will claim Iran is reneging on the rest of the world BECAUSE Trump pulled us out and, honestly, that is exactly what Iran is saying: but that sounds more like Rouhani (et al) have just been looking for an excuse to violate the terms of the agreement. Had Trump remained in the agreement, Iran would have found another reason. what are your thoughts? was Trump right to pull us out of a flawed, basically one-sided agreement? or is Iran the victim here and only looking out for her own interests, but wouldn’t have done so had not Trump blown it?

So Rouhani is not holding up his end of the quid pro quo offered by Barack Obama? Imagine that....
Trump - the Art of the Deal Obama - the Art of the Steal (from the American taxpayer)

What quid pro quo would that be?

What quid pro quo would that be? Quid pro quo means "something for something" (in Latin); an exchange of goods, "tit for tat", "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours", etc. The Iran nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, offered Tehran billions of dollars in sanctions relief in exchange for agreeing to curb its nuclear program.www.nbcnews.com/storyline/smart-facts/what-iran-nuclear-deal-n868346The Obama administration secretly arranged a plane delivery of $400 million in cash on the same day Iran released four American prisoners and formally implemented the nuclear deal, US officials confirmed Wednesday.www.cnn.com/2016/08/03/politics/us-sends-plane-iran-400-million-cash/index.htmlNot illegal. Perhaps good policy, perhaps not. But literally the definition of a quid pro quo.

I'm well aware of the meaning of the phrase, thank you.
See that would be diplomacy. Do this thing and we'll stop sanctioning you. You'll notice that the thing asked for was not help in getting Obama reelected.
You are aware that it was 400 Million of their own money, right?

So Rouhani is not holding up his end of the quid pro quo offered by Barack Obama? Imagine that.... Obama (et al) knew that virtually from day 1: Iran was supposed to allow regular, uninhibited inspections, which they have never done.

You are aware that it was 400 Million of their own money, right? It was their "own" money in the same way that the millions of dollars confiscated from drug cartels is the cartels "own" money. They have had possession of it at one time, but their actions of how they got it and what they did while they had it makes ownership of it not so cut & dried.

How do you figure? This was Iranian money in mostly foreign banks frozen as part of the sanctions put on Iran over their nuclear weapons program. Nothing at all suspicious as to its origins.

I'm contending that the money was illegitimately "earned" in the first place, they morally never owned it in the first place.

Yes, again how do you figure? It's probably oil money for the most part...is there something immoral about Iranian oil?
