www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/adam-schiff-signals-bribery-charge-for-trumps-impeachment-founders-understood-it-as-breach-of-the-public-trust/ar-BBWF2Jw?ocid=spartandhpNow he's making things up. Intelligence and Adam Schiff should never be used in the same sentence. What a load of crap he's delivering to the country in his 3 year quest to overturn the results of an election because they lost. How can the MSM and the Dems ignore the obvious scams of the Bidens and Hillary with her Clinton Foundation? Is this just something to try and bring up before the IG Fisa report is released? If they get away with this, no elected Republican with results they don't like will be safe again. I would have hoped they would have learned how foolish they looked from the lies they pushed in the Kavanaugh hearings, the Mueller report/Russian hoax, and now the Ukraine hoax. House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff strongly signaled that Democrats would focus their impeachment case against President Donald Trump around a “bribery” charge.
According to audio in a new NPR interview, Schiff argued that the Founders had a “broader” definition of bribery that included abuse of power and breach of the public trust by elected officials, suggesting that it would be the central crime in the “high crimes and misdemeanors” specified by the Constitution for impeachment of a president.
“As the Founders understood bribery, it was not as we understand it in law today. It was much broader,” Schiff told NPR. “It connoted the breach of the public trust in a way where you’re offering official acts for some personal or political reason, not in the nation’s interest.”

So "Quid Pro Quo" only applies to Republicans and the obvious abusers like Biden and the Clintons get a free pass. How do you start impeachment proceedings when one side won't let the other side present their own evidence or rebuttals? Can't wait to see CNN and MSNBC join the circus on this clown show.

He has already disgraced himself. This latest only heaps burning coals on his already smoldering head.
The whole “whistleblower” media circus was a complete farce.

This change in Democratic talking points is a signal that the "quid pro quo" charge was not getting through to the public, primarily for two reasons:
1. The "quid pro quo" concept was both too vague and too complicated. 2. It never happened. There was no quid, nor was there a quo. Read the transcript.
Going with "bribery" now is like upping the charge to rape when at first you couldn't prove an unwanted kiss. As usual, their foaming-at-the-mouth hatred of Trump has cause them to overreach. Look, if the Dems go all in with an explosive charge like bribery, anything that falls short of a clear-cut smoking gun makes them look foolish and desperate.
Just remember, as long as Adam Schiff could control the narrative through selective leaking of closed-door testimony to a compliant media, he has successfully advanced the ball down the field. But every time the Resistance effort went public, it has turned out to be a disaster for the Dems, as the Republicans are able to expose these phony witnesses for what they are. (Same with the Russia hoax and Nadler's earlier "impeachment" hearings with John Dean and Michael Cohen, and Robert Mueller's doddering fool performance.)
No scheduled testimony from the "whistleblower" in a process that was started by.......the same "whistleblower"? I don't care what legal jargon they try to cite to get around this, the utter ridiculousness and unfairness of the process ain't gonna play with most of America. Schiff and his cronies have already undermined and tainted this whole effort. Tomorrow is just a continuation of the gaslighting of the public that's been going on for three plus years.
(Can a person we all know resist responding to this with a personal insult....?)

If you get a chance, watch the Greg Gutfeld show (Saturday evenings on Fox). Tom Shillue has been doing an Adam Schiff impersonation in skits for about 4 weeks now and he has it down pretty good. It is a caricature of Schiff, but captures his eye movements and mannerisms dead on.

I'm ashamed that Pencil Neck's district includes the beautiful city of Burbank, where I grew up and enjoyed a happy childhood. The infamy!

Sure...how about you?
I guess you just couldn't control yourself.
It is amusing to watch you guys perform your linguistic and syntactical gymnastics on daily basis just to defend this immoral person in the WH. It can only get more amusing as the impeachment process moves forward.
Also, look for the Democrats to charge trump with perjury for lying in his written answers to Mueller's questions during his investigation.

Oh they may charge him with it, but no chance of anything happening there. I read the remarks, and he said "I don't recall..." Nobody can prove what he recalled and what he didn't.

The monkeys in Congress have conducted secret, basement meetings, including “witness” interviews, They have disallowed republicans from asking any questions during or after these meetings...
EVERYTHING the haters think they know is hearsay, at best, or a meme or bloggers headline at worst.
They know nothing, so rather that acknowledge they know nothing, they fill in their blank small minds with pseudo facts they desperately want to be true.
They are pathetic intellectually challenged wannabes.
Nothing more.

I would liken these two Diplomats to trying to start a mutiny because Trump had a different policy for Ukraine than Obama did.
