I'm hoping Pope Benedict XVI will announce today that he was just kidding about that whole retirement thing, and the last six years of the Papacy can be given the Hillary bleach-bit treatment.

What about if you make a post erroneously claiming that Jesus had anything to say about homosexuality?

Or leave your neighbor alone, he is Jewish and really does not want any pamphlets. Or encourage their fishing expedition, but just maybe in another lake.

To my understanding, different sects ... meaning different denominations... within the Body of Christians are different only in the non-essentials: Those tenets of the Bible we are free to disagree over, study and interpret as we want or need, or even argue over (using the purest form of “argument” I hope). Those things include most of the religious observances and practices in the day to day church such as fasting, bowing your head (or not) when praying, how and when to take Communion, speaking (or not) in tongues, ... all the stuff we do, in church, that doesn’t result in our salvation. To be called a Christian, and the ONLY way to Heaven, one must affirm only a handful of theology, all of which is contained in the Bible and no other source oypther than those that reference what is in the Bible. These are: These
we (meaning we humans) get si wrapped up in performance-driven rewards, we want to shrug off when God tells us “it’s free.” We will find all manner of issues we must disagree with, but God doesn’t care about our reasoning. HE said, “no one comes to the Father but by me.” HE said, “NO ONE can see Heaven unless he is born again.” That’s it. everything else He told us was how to live IF we aspire to be followers of Christ, EVEN knowing we would fail at times. To be a follower of Christ means you have accepted His free gift of salvation. It doesn’t mean you quit smoking (although I eventually wanted to), it doesn’t mean you swear off swearing, although His example was to let others see Christ in your speech, it doesn’t mean you cannot be attracted to your same gender, although He can also heal you of that, and has for many... it definitely does not mean you’ll have clear sailing here on out! First, give your life to Christ... THEN follow His urging to resolve those sinful flaws, which, by the way, will take the rest of your life here on earth.
