Auntie Em, Auntie Em!!
Back in the early 90's, a tornado touched down on Lake Forest II (Jeronimo between Lake Forest & Bake). It clipped the roof of one house, knocking off some roof tiles, touched down on the water and went across the lake. It hit a corner house and basically blew the garage apart. It continued into the street and just before it lifted up, it picked up a teenage girl who was outside and flung her about 40 feet down a sidewalk (she wasn't seriously injured).
What was interesting was the straight line it followed. If you stood where the girl was thrown and looked back, it intersected the blown apart garage and damaged roof tiles straight as an arrow.

As a Claims adjuster for the country’s largest home and auto insurer, I have worked claims from real tornadoes and real hurricanes in Texas and in South Florida.
While I’m sure whatever you guys had out there was real scary, ‘em ain’t no tornadoes... 🙄

No, the water spouts and tornadoes we get are indeed tornadoes, just the EF-0 ones that have light damage. The wind speeds (65-85 mph) are about what the strongest gusts from the Santa Ana winds reach when they blow through Fremont Canyon.
