Identical orders? You're comparing this Iranian to the most wanted man in history?
Amazing.

13 years ago this month, Cpt. Brian Freeman and his team of Civil Affairs soldiers were in Karbala, Iraq at a meeting to help improve the lives of the people of that province. During that meeting, a team under the command of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, stormed in, killing a number of American's, and capturing Brian and several members of his team. The captured CA team members were handcuffed, driven away from the meeting and later executed. Once found, in spite of our best efforts, several medics, unsuccessfully attempted to save Brian. Captain Freeman is but one of the lives lost due to the evil of Qassem Soleimani. Qassem Soleimani was an evil person whose end, regardless of the politics surrounding it is a good thing. It's been alleged for as long as I can remember, that Iran was behind funding the major terrorist organizations out there. If this is true, why was this guy fighting against ISIS?

I’m not sure if this answers your question or not, but it does present one of those “the enemy of my enemy is my friend?” conundrums... it has been hypothesized, maybe even suggested or even shown, that Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, needed to get weapons to the Syrian freedom fighters and used Ambassador Stevens, through our Benghazi mission, to broker a deal whereby the ISIS thugs would transport in exchange for money... unrelated to that direct scenario, this would be “a” reason Hillary (et al) first tried to blame a video for the Benghazi uprising.

In fairness, I think the question should be...who would you rather have in charge if Iranians took you or your son hostage?
Donald Trump Barack Obama Hillary Clinton Ronald Reagan Jimmy Carter
If you can't answer the question directly, don't bother with a reply.

My "direct answer" would be John Rambo. The 1982 version, not the old, washed-up 2019 guy.

Given that list I'd rather have Obama be in charge...of those listed trump would be my last choice...even after Reagan and he's dead.

As an aside, I have a question that never popped into my mind until today. We are all familiar with the pallets of cash that was sent to Iran by the Obama administration. Those on the left defended that action saying it was Iran's money to begin with, that it represented the monies frozen back in the late 70's.
My question is this - If we wanted to allow Iran access to their frozen assets, why were they not just unfrozen? If I understand the legal parameters of freezing assets, it means no one can access them, even the government. They sit in limbo at whatever bank or holding house until the government removes the freeze.
Did the US government overstep its boundaries by usurping the frozen assets at some point in time, requiring the unfreezing to be a delivery of cash?

Yes, probably... maybe it will all come out when Barr starts prosecuting some of those criminals...

This sounds about right to me. Now it's time to get our troops out of Iraq, dispatch with the impeachment farce, and start prosecuting Deep State coup plotters.

After the Iranian revolution in 1979 many countries froze Iran's assets. Since then the Iranians have been trying to get their money back. Part of the deal the Iranians made with the Reagan administration for the release of the hostages was that the money question would be resolved by international arbitration. This process took almost forty years. When it looked like the arbitrators were going to award the Iranians several billion dollars in back interest on their money, the Obama administration entered into separate negotiations with the Iranians who settled for a lesser amount. The original money was in a Pentagon trust fund.

Pelosi Too Busy to Take Pence's Call...Which Was to Inform Her of Iranian Missile Attack townhall.com ^ | 1/8/2020 | Leah Barkoukis Posted on 1/8/2020, 7:22:03 AM by rktman
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was reportedly too busy to take a call from Vice President Mike Pence Tuesday that was to inform her Iran was launching a ballistic missile attack on U.S. forces in Iraq.
“Tell him I’ll call him back,” Pelosi said, according to a Politico reporter.
As Julio reported, Pelosi later tweeted that she was "closely monitoring the situation" but minutes before she was spotted at the grand opening of a restaurant.
