First I would want to understand the thread and the question?
"...on opposing team"...., assuming you or one has a team...?
Second, only in games you or one has actually witnessed....?

Question designed to avoid picking your own guys, and was referring to someone on opposing team that your team played. For example, I saw Grootegoed play, but wasn't on the other side. I've seen DS Jax and others play on TV. Was looking for guys your team played against.
I should add Abdul-Malik McClain to my list.

OK that would narrow it down of course... good question, I like it.... makes one actually dig a bit deeper in a way....,

Limited to live views only, and by memory of actual names (which I guess means they don't belong on the list anyway, so I won't research them), my list is:
RB Mickey Cureton of Compton Centennial QB Pat Haden of Bishop Amat RB Darrin Nelson of Pius X RB Kerwin Bell of Edison RB Hiawatha Francisco of Cincinnati Moeller

It's funny but the two guys who made me shake my head and think, "My God, these kids don't belong on a high school field", both turned out to be total assholes. Regardless, I still think they may have been the two best players we ever faced:
Randy Estes, DB, Los Alamitos Vontaze Burfict, LB, Corona Centennial
Oh, and maybe Darnell Bing, DB, Long Beach Poly

A former Los Al coach said Estes was better than both Cason & Scandrick, and they both started in the NFL.
Real shame about that kid.

1) Derrick Coleman - Troy (as a sophomore, a man among boys) 2) That big running back from Poly who scored late in the 2008 title game at the Big A

I watched him with shock and awe that night.

I'll start with the player that first comes to mind, in play and as well as the magnitude of the game... it was a total team effort to contain this guy.
It was 2013 CIF D3 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP game at the CARSON CENTER. We had read, heard, watched tape of this kid and it was pretty obvious from the get go, he was a one man wrecking crew. He was beast, would says dominant at LB as Justin Flowe. A wild man with superior strength. It was a great day for CDM however.BEN BURR KIRVEN SACRED HEART PREP 2013OFFENSE: DEFENSE: This is how he played and how I will remember that day...... In college more of the same..... Fastest linebacker in college football? Ben Burr-Kirven’s been a blur for Huskies’ defense...
NCAA FIRST TEAM ALL AMERICAN, PAC-12 "DEFENSIVE PLAYER of the YEAR".. And continues his game in the NFL...... Seattle Seahawks.
