Sinister in Illinois...
JB Pritzker, our ruler, crafted a new emergency order late last week. According to this new order, any business opening without authorization stood to not only lose its license, but the owner faced jail time and a $2500 fine for his Class A Misdemeanor. Same would apply to anyone caught in a gathering of more than 10 people.
Now, the way it works is, the Joint Committee of legislators gets to review any new emergency orders and they must reject it or it becomes part of the Emergency Management Agency Act. There are 12 members on the committee, evenly divided between R and D, and between Assembly and Senate. The Governor granted our legislature permission to return to work, most people thought, specifically for the committee to meet and not reject his new rule...
BUT WAIT, THERES MORE
through the weekend and u until this morning, Illinoisans circulated email addresses, addresses, and phone numbers of all 12 committee members and absolutely flooded them with the same message: Please reject the governors new rule. We figured we’d done a spectacular job because Pritzker, apparently concerned that he would be shot down, withdrew his special order, to the great glee and celebration of the masses... or so,we thought.
three hours later, we get word the FULL legislature is, indeed, back in the state Capitol and is working on LEGISLATION to codify the “new rule” into the state Code.
letsnsee if that pansy Newsom can beat THAT.

I think this guy might just save Illinois...! I've seen Brandon Straka on Hannity a few times. He's gay, a former Democrat Kool-Aid drinker who has been Red-Pilled by the media's demonization of Trump. He started the #WalkAway movement for those who have finally realized that the Democrat Party they grew up in has left them--it is no longer a party of free thought and free choice, but a party of thought conformity and top-down regimentation of society through government edict. I'm not surprised to see him voicing this same message in light of the current COVID-19 lockdown madness.

This is not school; this is prison. I hope to God our local schools understand these ridiculous "guidelines" have no legal force to them. There's no way any school could operate under this madness.

Karen vs. Freedom
(don't know exactly where this is but from the architecture and eucalyptus trees it looks to be a Southern California high school)

Another day, another lawsuit in Illinois. This one is brought by the owner of a tanning salon, and against our Governor, specifically, claiming the executive order(s) are an authority the governor does not have. the link here is to A Transcript of the Court Proceedings
It is long and you are certainly OK to read the whole thing if you’d like, but I was interested in the judge’s comments as he rendered his decision and they start on page 75: This ruling was only on the Temporary Restraining order, which he granted, but he rejected the argument that all businesses similarly situated are included.

I hope that judge is young. If so, he has a GREAT future as a judge or a politician. I'd vote for him, if I could.

An interesting tid-bit... from Chicago: a lot of folks from all around Ill’annoy gathered in Grants Park in Chicago to hold another “Re-open Illinois” rally. I was not there, but thousands of my close friends, including one or two real friends were. rally started at noon, the police showed up but refused to arrest anyone. The Chief of Police eventually showed up and asked them to disperse because the Mayor (of Chicago) was demanding it. They politely refused and continued their rally and the police did nothing about it. moments ago, the mayor of Chicago posted this on her Facebook page:

I guess the Stay-at-Home orders have ended in Minneapolis. Maybe it's the other way around--liberalism is the death of coronavirus.

Private schools--including mine--need to wise up, grow some balls, retain a good attorney, and just OPEN UP THEIR SCHOOLS ON THEIR OWN. Waiting for Dictator Newsome's permission is an exercise in futility.
The only thing we're proving in the current atmosphere is our ability to be the most obedient hostage of our crazed Governor.
