I'm creating this thread in the General Discussion just to keep the Sports Board free from politics. Anyone watching ESPN the last two weeks can how it has been completely co-opted by SJW activism. This is not a new trend necessarily, but has been exacerbated by the absence of any live sports to cover. Every corporate entity, seemingly, must bow the knee to the BLM ideology and engage in the requisite virtue signaling in order to protect themselves form the mob. Even the PGA Tour is getting in on the act.
What's next--the NFL stopping each game at the 8:46 mark of the 1st quarter for a moment of silence?

Apparently, it's the length of time Chauvin had his knee on Floyd's neck. Not 8:45 or 8:47, but 8:46.
The way this serial criminal and drug addict has been elevated to sainthood by the left is, well, deplorable (to use a favorite Clintonism).

We've all heard the phrase that "patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel." Likewise, symbolism is the last refuge of the naive.
If you cannot objectively identify the underlying problem and provide a logical resolution, use symbolism. It disguises a lack of clarity and insight while making you appear profound................................Luca

Is it me or does it appear as if someone just simply flipped a switched and all history, past realities are to be wiped as if they never happened? Whites must now bow down to blacks, authority must do the same, statues and books reflecting American history removed, destroyed or burned. And now sports with its popularity and platform close to social media and Hollywood has flipped that same switch. Expect to get re-educated on race relations in the upcoming seasons...
