Watching Roger Goodell, Adam Silver and Rob Manfred working so hard to out-stupid each other is a better race than the Kentucky Derby. Poor Gary Bettman, commissioner of the NHL, has already been lapped just because he's not a total suck-up.

Spoke too soon. The "Black Anthem?" What in wide world of sports is that? Roger Goodell just overtook Adam Silver for dumbest pro sports commissioner in America. well, if I’d been watching pro football the last few years, this idiot would surely put an end to it, now. |

Jason Whitlock, last night on Tucker Carlson, slammed the NFL's plan to play the "Black National Anthem" immediately before the Star Spangled Banner during their Week 1 games as a total lack of leadership. If players stand to honor the 'Black' anthem and then take a knee for the SSB it will be the biggest PR disaster in professional sports history, from which the NFL will never recover. Can Roger Goodell, the owners, and the players be that stupid?
The alternative theory is that the NFL knows they will not actually play any games this year, so this gesture can then be chalked up to "good intentions" and then forgotten when all this blows over in 2021. Any thoughts?

Since the Washington Redskins are the first professional sports team to change their name due to social pressure, they are really pioneers at the forefront of this whole silly movement. So how about the Washington Foreskins?
