I've been a major league baseball since I was about 14, and I'll always be a huge Mike Trout supporter, but baseball can go to hell, right after the NFL and NBA. If the NHL also caves, I'll give up on all of it.

I’m a 19 year season ticket holder with the LA Clippers and even though I can now not attend games I am questioning my allegiance for next season. I’m a Halo Die Hard and a Trout fan as well.., I was hoping “America’s Past Time” hadn’t passed me up as well... The NHL will likely say “Puck Up Buttercups”..... Go Kings Go !!!

Part of that, of course, is it’s the only available sport here locally, AND I’m announcing some of the games, but seeing these guys play is a real thrill.

Roger Goodell will not be outdone by Rob Manfred or Adam Silver. What's the point of being the biggest if you can't turn away the opportunity to bring hope and relief to your loyal paying customers during the worst economic and social crisis in decades, but rather take that same opportunity to slap them in the face?

Honestly--and this breaks my heart as a 40+ year fan of pro sports--these league need to go bankrupt from alienating their fans. I hope there is a courageous cohort of players who are willing to speak out against this madness.
I read today that the NFL--when they allow fans--will require them all to wear masks while in attendance. These league executives are completely out-of-touch with their base and are just shooting themselves in the foot day after day.

This is so effing stupid I almost can't stand it. How long does it take to pick a new team name that you need an interim name while you decide? It's like eating a cheeseburger while deciding what to have for dinner. Pick a name and roll with it. The Washington Pussies would be a perfect fit. Or given that they're based in D.C., the Washington Hypocrites would also fly.

Since Summer Collegiate baseball came into our town, I am noticing these athletes are much more willing to take a risk, dive for a ball, leap to make a catch... generally much more aggressive play than athletes who have “made it.”
I appreciate they want to make it into the professional ranks and their skill and eagerness make for some very enjoyable sports.
With all the recent pandering assininery by professional sports, I can do without them entirely.

The Dodgers have BLM written on the back of the pitching mound, and all teams have a BLM patch on their jerseys. Every player was kneeling before the National Anthem.
The cowardly thing is that the entire COVID-19 situation allows them to do all this without the booing and heckling that would occur if there were fans in the stadium. I can't express how disheartening all this is. Not only are the fans excluded from the stadium; they also use this fact to force a divisive and dangerous political message down our throats.
Liberalism destroys everything it touches. I'm done.

I was going to watch the Angels/A's game tomorrow night, but if I see Mike Trout kneeling during the national anthem, it will be heartbreaking.

I watched the Angels/A's game tonight, it was nice to see what the A's staff did with the field. The cardboard cutouts included old A's stars as well as a larger than life cutout of Tom Hanks when he was a hot dog vendor there. Hanks cutout included a recording of Hanks himself shouting "Get your hot dogs here!!". Very creative, very fun & well done.
But then there was the BLM insignia on the back of the mound, as well as BLM patches sewn on each players jerseys. Sorry, you lost me there. George Floyd did not deserve to die at the hands of an over aggressive cop, but that does not justify the agenda of BLM or raise it to the level to be supported by the entire MLB. The concept of systemic racism in our country is a lie, a canard, yet the 3 major sports organizations seem to be held hostage by their employees to perpetuate this false narrative. They can continue to do what they want, but since they have chosen to make political statements during the game that are aligned with a group that specifically states it is a Marxist organization, I'm gone.
I'm not trying to cancel them, I'm not telling anyone else to not watch games, people should do as they please without economic pressure from other fans. For me, I have watched my first & last MLB game of 2020. Hope Trout has another MVP year.

BLM could not give a rat’s (pardon me) ass about black lives.
They are run and organized by criminals and felons, they are treasonous and terrorist, and they are Marxist at least.
They have zero interest in achieving equality (which, by the way, blacks already have) and are only interested in terrorizing communities and intimidating others.
For ANY professional sport to legitimize or pander to this group of uneducated Neanderthals is beyond my comprehension and writes that sport off my viewing schedule.

I tuned in to the Angel game in the seventh inning last night, just in time to see them go up by a run. But then there was a shot from behind the pitcher, and I saw the BLM logo on the mound. I changed the channel as fast as I could reach the remote. I also love Mike Trout, but major league baseball can suck my fungo bat.
