Candace making a connection between BLM and Act Blue in some other tweets.
As I understand, Act Blue receives all the donations from BLM contributions,and looks as though BLM is a significant fundraising mechanism for democratic political campaigns.

Several records for the year of 2020 were broken in the week following the Killing of George Floyd, with over $19 million raised on May 31st, the highest so far that year. On June 1st, that yearly record was again broken with $20 million in donations. Over half of donations in the week following killing went to charitable (non-political) causes, including one ActBlue page devoted to a bail fund which raised over $1.5 million dollars from over 20,000 donors.[9] The Daily Beast notes that between January and mid-July 2019, ActBlue brought in $420 million, and that "According to the organization, that total came from 3.3 million unique donors and was dispersed to almost 9,000 Democratic campaigns and organizations, with $246 million coming in the second quarter alone."[10]
In the 2018 midterms elections, ActBlue raised $1.6 billion for Democratic candidates.[11] According to FEC data, from January 2017 to October 2018 Beto O’Rourke had raised $45m through ActBlue for his run against Ted Cruz, 48% of which came from outside Texas.[12] In 2019, ActBlue raised roughly $1 billion for a wide variety of campaigns.[13]

Bick, I was just about to create a thread on this topic. It appears that BLM is little more than a shell corporation for the Democratic party politics. Candance Owen is doing a great job exposing this. Here's more, and the amount of money involved is astounding.

All these corporate donations to the newly canonized BLM, Inc. are just being funneled into the Biden campaign. This is absolutely illegal and a moral scandal beyond belief; Trump and Barr better blow the lid off this scam.

Looks like the Left are fighting fire with fire. Seeing a lot of Instagram posts showing a list of Trump donors and asking people to boycott them. Assuming this is an attempt to counter the Act Blue unveil.

Yes, black lives matter. This plain statement is uncontroversial, as is the affirmation that all lives matter. But the Black Lives Matter (Inc) movement is clearly a radical Left wing agitation group which, in my opinion, will do more harm than good to blacks as a whole. It's founders are unabashedly socialist, Marxist, and LGBTQ+ activists. From the BLM website, under "What We Believe": - We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable. (no mention of fathers)
- We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).
How either of these will improve the lot of blacks is hard to discern, not to mention the obvious harm that will come from efforts to demonize, defund, and/or abolish the police--who provide the greatest blanket of safety to the vast majority of those who happen to live in crime-ridden neighborhoods.

Social media posts falsely claim donations made on the Black Lives Matter website go “directly” to the Democratic Party, because the group uses ActBlue Charities — an online fundraising platform. Donations go to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation. They totally must think we are absolute morons... in a nearby town, one of the resident anti-everything miscreants is warning his minions that KKK is suddenly recruiting in Central Illinois. but the flyers were only found on one street, which is a typically low-rent area and has a large African American population... AND no one saw whomever it was spreading the flyers. So, the sentient folks think our local BLM or other band of merry numbskulls are just trying to stir up crap... 🙄  |
