Oh no... It's not extortion. According to that leader, it's just a starting point to have the "conversation". Vile... Any thoughts on this? Well, the BLM people have every right to ask.... Also, according to the article: Phelix Crittenden, an activist who works with Black Lives Matter Louisville, said the demands and related "NuLu social justice health and wellness ratings" were not meant to be a threat but were instead intended to start a conversation with owners about how their businesses can better reflect and support Black people.So no, I don't think this is extortion. I don't think this is a crime. I think there was either some misunderstanding by the restaurant owner or some of the BLM guys. Do I think some of the BLM guys might have acted in a threatening manner...maybe, but I doubt anyone is paying 'protection" money to BLM. And no, I don't think this is right out of Vito Corleone's playbook. I think such assertions do little to help situations like this. |

Chicago seems to be doing pretty well. Yeah, I woke up this morning (no, not that kind of woke) to all the video clips of the rioting and looting in Chicago with the police standing around watching. also, if you might be headed to Chicago this morning, know that it is closed: All transit into or around the Miracle Mile, all trains into the city, all toll plazas ... everything is closed or suspended. their pant suit wearing, Froto-like mayor has so limited the city’s police force, those who have not quit can only stand and watch as Antifa cretins destroy and maim. Mayor Lori Lightfoot should be prosecuted. |

My wife is glued to this guy’s commentary. It reminds me of when Bill Clinton was first elected and started appointing all these wack job leftist ideologues to important posts. It was a WTF moment. Need to see the change in viewership by demographic for this to be meaningful. After being fed 6 months of stats in a vacuum from covid, I've lost my appetite for numbers without comparisons. It's as though no one has ever heard of a delta other than the one with water flowing through it.
