Watching the Angels game (with Chicago announcers) and just caught the blurb as they were changing innings, that the MLB Draft and All-Star game have been moved out of Atlanta to a location to be named: BECAUSE of the new Georgia voting law..

Local elections yesterday, 4/6, for city positions, mostly, with a smattering of junior college and school board jobs...
There is a socialist who won a seat on the neighboring city’s council by getting college students, who aren’t registered here, to vote for her (she won by 10 votes in that ward). She has been a petulant child ever since.
She was also the campaign manager for three other socialists running this time. BLM is very active here and they put out a list of candidates in both towns they support.
All of those candidates lost and voter turnout was the highest it has been in a long time.
The socialist council person was very magnanimous in defeat, though: She took the news of the Conservative sweep with dignity, promising to make the next two years for the winning candidates “a living hell.” 🙄
AFTER which, the newly elected mayor hinted that her shenanigans will be greatly reduced.

I think drag races are truly racist...and homophobic / misogynistic too.

Are you aware of a group called The Fire (?) keeps a database of all events in the country try where speakers were encouraged be disinvited? Near as I can tell, they track both left and right mobs clamoring for disinvites, and whether or not the speaker actually was disinvited, since 1998. Disinvited Database |
