EVERY time this moron opens his mouth, America suffers and Illinoisans are embarrassed:
From Dick(less) Durbin, 6/9/2021:
When subsequently asked if they would balance the budget, he answered, "I can't tell you that."

When was the last time ballot counting was halted in a Presidential election? The last time I remember was Florida in 2000. Several states did that in 2020, and that was when Trump was ahead by a substantial margin. Why? We may never know but I believe it was because they needed to find out how many votes Trump was winning by and make adjustments.
The state of Arizona is going to do a simple recount - just counting the number of ballots. They are bringing in paper counters. My wife said there are rumors that there are in excess of 200K ballots missing. We will see. But they might just count the number of ballots two different says over the next coming weeks.

So first the county's election officials counted the ballots, then the auditors counted the ballots, and now the Senate will count the ballots, presumably because they believe election officials and auditors can't count. Then a team of fifty chimpanzees will count the ballots because nobody will trust a Senate recount. After that we will pay Vladimir Putin to count the ballots. That will be followed by AOC counting the ballots, even though she can't tell a ballot from a crowbar. And finally Joe Biden will count the ballots, even though he loses track after five. If we keep counting long enough, eventually everyone will get the result they want. Then what happens?

If we keep counting long enough, eventually everyone will get the result they want. Then what happens? That is THE question, isn't it. The answer is, "nothing." Nothing will happen. The winner is not determined by the popular vote. The winner is determined by the electoral college, which we will all remember from Hillary's loss, do not have to vote according to the popular vote. ONCE the electoral college voted, the result is final (unless someone can prove fraud in the electoral college, I suppose...maybe?), regardless of any discovered fraud in the popular vote. Now, IF we are jumping through these partisan hoops to SHOW there was substantial fraud (or any fraud) as a means to prevent it in the future and/or to hold those responsible, then go for it. But let's not kid ourselves: The ONLY way Trump returns to the White House is to win in 2024 <hard stop>

I am not sure what would happen if AZ and then PA decertified their electoral votes. I don't think Trump can take office because both chambers voted on it and Biden is in there. But we can't keep doing what we are doing in the next elections if Trump really won the last election.

Why all the histrionics over an audit if it was all on the up and up? Good question. They are looking at auditing three counties in PA. Two counties were Trump won and one county where Biden won, the big one.

So the states save all of the information from the elections, just in case. In case what? The Democrats are trying to stop these audits in various states. Why? Why even save the ballots? Why not just burn them the day after?
