Can this push California back into sole first place? Yes, I concede.

California has such a commanding lead in this race that every other state is a mere pretender thinking they have a chance to catch them. Every few weeks a New York or an Illinois tries to make a run, and they get slapped down like annoying gnats. Any state that pays its citizens $300 a month to not shoot anybody is almost invincible.

Can't speak for NY, but the accuracy of your statement doesn't stop our state government from trying. (but, I WILL just mention, that paying people to not shoot anyone idea WAS brought up by Chicago mayor Gollum... inexplicably, it was shot down).

A state that keeps trying, even while knowing they have no chance, has my respect. But the fact that they have no chance is just that, a fact. When it comes to pure sucking, California rules.

I'll give you pure sucking, but when it comes to murder rate like we see in Chicago, it gives the state a real solid second place.

Atta boy, Dave. Know your role and stay in your lane. Second place isn't all that bad. When it comes to California vs. Illinois, we are bigger than you, we are richer than you, and we are stupider than you. That makes us unbeatable.

I give NY the prize. Their governor just resigned. I know, our recall failed, but at least we had one.

NOT that it will change our standing, but I offer this as more evidence that our state legislature has no interest in our citizens: In 1998, Illinois passed the Right to Conscience law that stipulates, in relevant part, we cannot be compelled to partake in a medical procedure that is against our conscience, and cannot be discriminated against for failing to do so. Yesterday, despite record opposition from the population, our Illinois House committee approved an amendment to that law: Despite record opposition, changes to ‘Right of Conscience’ passes Illinois House committee

and now a word from our Illinois democrat overlords: Of course, they aren't telling you the whole story. They used COVID money from the federal government (the money Trump denied them but Biden granted them) to pay down the debt, and they borrowed even more to pay it down further... but hey, the debt is down... 🙄

If you borrow money to pay down debt, isn't the borrowed money also debt? If I borrow a thousand dollars to pay off my credit cards, am I now out of debt? Only to the woke graduates of our public school systems would that make sense.

There was hope for you until you apply logic and fact to their idiocy...
