SK, it's the middle of 2023. I don't know yet who I will want to represent my views 16 months from now. I'm just perturbed by this constant, mindless, fanatical idolatry of Donald Trump like he's some kind of second coming of Jesus Christ and the only man who can save us from disaster. If that's truly the case, then we're already doomed anyway.

SK and MD, it took 60 to 100 years to create this deep state. It won't be over with a Trump win in 2024, it will take a generational shift. But if Trump doesn't win - if we end up with Ted Cruz or even DeSantis - the plebeians are in deeper sh!t. We gotta stop this fascism in this country.

He is incredibly popular SK. Yes, Trump is incredibly popular... among his base. But his base is less than 35 or 40% of voters. And he is incredibly unpopular among probably an even higher percentage. Many people who would love to vote Joe Biden out of office wouldn't do so if the alternative is Trump, and that might be enough to make the difference. On the other hand, a lot can happen in the next 15 months.

I agree manufacturing is in decline. We need to fix that. The other things were good to SK.

Ron Paul would be a perfect choice for Fed Chairman. He might dismantle it. The purpose for the Fed was to separate the Fed, the creator of money, from the spender, the government. That kinda makes sense, but it was a scheme by the banks to be in control. It worked. Basically, the Fed makes money and buys Federal government bonds, bills etc. The Fed makes money in interest and dividends are paid to the member banks. Sure there is a Board of Governors appointed by the President and approved by the senate, but these governors are in the pocket of the banks.
I am not sure about an alternative. Nearly every major country in the world has a central bank with varying degrees of separation from their governments. I think most came after the creation of our Fed in 1913 under WILSON, one our worst Presidents. They voted in the income tax the same year so we could begin spending more - and paying more interest to the Federal Reserve on the debt (that profit from the interest is paid to the Fed in the form of dividends). They passed the income tax first because they needed that money to pay the Fed. The Federal reserve act was passed two days before Christmas when most members want to go home and did.
People worry about uncontrolled spending so they want to separate the printing from the spending. That is what the bankers wanted you to think. With this method we have, we have debt. If the government printed the money, there would be no debt.
So the choice is more spending or debt with more spending.
Don't just audit the fed, abolish it.

You mean Rand! I liked Ron but Rand is more grounded, his dad would go off into space at times....

I said Ron because he has been after the Fed for decades. Rand would be great too. Trump should pick Rand for VP.

Trump should pick Rand for VP. I don't know, man. Kamala Harris has set the bar pretty high. It would be like taking the stage after the Rolling Stones. Or should I say Queen?

Actually, a Kamala vs Rand VP debate would end all this in about an hour and a half. A bright light PHD vs a dim bulb bottom feeder.
