Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed to The Epoch Times on June 3 that his efforts to get to the bottom of how the CCP virus—also known as the novel coronavirus—spread from China to the United States met with sustained opposition within the U.S. government. Asked about revelations in a June 3 Vanity Fair report that key officials deep within the State Department sought to keep the public from knowing that U.S. funds had supported gain-of-function research at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), Pompeo described a “contentious battle.” So if the State Department was hiding these facts, and Pompeo was in charge of the State Department, how and why is he blaming others? Doesn't the "buck" stop with him, or is he not responsible at all for what went on in his State Department? It appears from what he said is that Popmpeo wanted an investigation of a lab leak but the intelligence agencies dragged their feet. .

Is he not responsible at all for what went on in his department? Where does the buck stop?

Regardless of your thoughts on him, one thing is clear about Dr. Fauci: He believes it's appropriate to lie if he thinks it's in the public's best interest. - Don't want people to hoard PPE? Tell the public they don't need masks until it's clear there's enough supply.
- Don't want to open things up too early and risk another wave? Tell the public fully vaccinated people still need to wear masks and social distance until we hit a vaccination threshold.
- Don't want people to be accusatory toward China? Tell the public there's no evidence to suggest it even could have been a lab leak.
Now, you very well might think that these are "white lies" and justified given the circumstances. I don't even think that opinion is completely out of line or unreasonable. But I disagree with that perspective. Public servants should not lie to the people they serve, especially about information that is guiding policy. If we're going to try and solve problems collectively through government, then we collectively need the same information the government has. How else are we to appropriately evaluate our collective response? And we should not be surprised that government officials believe lying is appropriate to justify an end result: If you are, time to stop living under that rock. If Fauci is a revered man of integrity, how do we classify these: - Dr. Fauci says he warned Trump in January that the US was in real trouble but that is not what he said publicly. In fact, in January, he actually said "the United States did not have to worry” about the coronavirus and that it was “not a major threat.”
- Dr. Fauci based all of his predictions on garbage IHME models that were OFF BY MILLIONS and then told reporters this past week, “You can’t really rely on models.”
- Dr. Fauci warned of an apocalyptic coronavirus pandemic — then just weeks later he later compared the coronavirus to a bad flu
- Dr. Fauci jumped in and “corrected” the president during a press briefing on hydroxychloroquine treatment for coronavirus saying, “You got to be careful when you say ‘fairly effective.’ It was never done in a clinical trial… It was given to individuals and felt that maybe it worked.” But, then, Exactly two weeks later hydroxychloroquine was deemed the most highly rated treatment for the novel coronavirus in an international poll of more than 6,000 doctors...
- Dr. Fauci said President Trump should have shut down the economy in February. Then, later, said on February 29 that you don’t need to “change anything you’re doing.”
It is clear to me the doctor is not all his admirers claim him to be.

He is part of the "state", this is how Socialism and Communism work..... Democrats, Liberals and progressives have moved in that direction for decades, they know whats best for you. Sit down, stand up, shut up, mask up... get it?

This has not been widely reported, but it's true: There are roughly 2.1 million employees of the federal government. The one person with the highest annual salary of all those people is Anthony Fauci. He is paid more than the president of the United States.
Barbara Ferrer, the disastrous Director of the L.A. County Department of Public Health (who has no medical degree) makes even more.

Oh no, is MDDad saying we should distrust Fauci because he makes too much money? What is he saying? Why did he bring up this fascinating but totally irrelevant point about Fauci's salary?

Just like Andrew Cuomo (and any liberal politician), this wont go anywhere. Still have no idea what crime he committed or rule he may have broken? Didn't think so. The reason these stupid accusations never "go anywhere" is because you have no evidence to support your conclusions. As an alleged attorney I would have thought you would understand the importance of evidence.

Oh, you mean like the gold-standard evidence of the Mueller investigation?
Continue to stick to what you know - nothing.

VP ignoring thousands of Fauci emails that have yet to be fully combed, LOL.
You continue to prove how incredibly unintelligent you actually are. It’s a serious accomplishment.

It is looking like Fauci, himself, did not create this, It was sent to him attached to an email.
But, neither did he do anything about it.

Oh, you mean like the gold-standard evidence of the Mueller investigation? Continue to stick to what you know - nothing. No, I don't mean that. The Mueller investigation was a political investigation and the reason it didn't go anywhere was because the Republicans controlled the Senate, not because there was no evidence of wrongdoing, but because of politics...but you knew that, right?

Frog pretending he already knows that the e-mails contain evidence of wrongdoing on Fauci's part. You continue to prove you're not much of a lawyer, or a good judge of intelligence.
