I don't know how many people here have ever used AI, but if you ever considered it for whatever reason, like to look up legal precedents, or even medical, Don't use Google AI, or pretty much any other AI. Use openAI, and preferably the new GPT-4o That is an o, not a zero. It is free to use, BTW.
The reason I mention this is because Google's AI is dangerous. Responses include it is OK to eat rocks, or leave your dog in the car because it is cooler in the car. Anybody, and any AI can make a mistake, but nearly every AI out there is above this stupidity. But last week, Google showed how lacking they are.

I very much prefer to use real intelligence rather than the artificial kind.

It is pretty rare that people with intelligence are replaced. Usually tech advances will take jobs that require low skills. This revolution is different.

With A.I. and robotics, we will someday no longer need doctors, engineers, lawyers (we don't need them now), scientists, mathematicians or other brainy types. My son's father-in-law is a general surgeon who now frequently performs robotic surgeries from behind a desk a hundred feet or more from the operating room. Soon the only person safe will be AOC, because no A.I. or robot will ever be stupid enough to replace her. |

That is pretty funny. We will always need doctors, lawyers, engineers. But fewer people will do more work. But the main point I was making is that not all AI is equal (LLM). Google can be dangerous and can't be trusted right now. The openAI model is far superior to perplexity, Claude, and other AI models I have used.

Two days ago, Nikki Hiltz won the women's 1,500 meters in the U.S. Olympic trials for the Paris games next month, in the second fastest time ever in the event by an American. Nikki Hiltz is a man. WTF! Now even the Olympics have gone to shit.  |
