1) I'd prefer DeSantis over Trump.
2) If I'd vote for Trump over DeSantis, it'd be to shove him down the Dems' throats. But I'd have to be sure he can win.
3) I'm a little worried about what Trump would do if DeSantis beat him...It has the potential to divide the GOP voters.

IF Trump wins the nomination, I hope he would have the sense to bring DeSantis on as VP. But, to your first point, I also prefer Desantis for the nomination.

I can make an argument like this, both men have something I believe the country needs, one man has something the country doesn't need. Drama.

I was watching a show where a doctor was asked how to avoid a hospital that treats COVID with Remdesivir. The doctor said "Move to Florida." California is such a contrast, when compared to Florida.

California is such a contrast, when compared to Florida. Totally agree. If the United States were a beautiful woman, Florida would be her breasts while California is her butthole.

DeSantis is far more electable than Trump is. DeSantis stands for much of what Trump stands for without the narcissistic baggage that turns off a lot of voters………..Luca

3) I'm a little worried about what Trump would do if DeSantis beat him...It has the potential to divide the GOP voters. That is a good point, but I would think most Trump voters, like all that responded here, would be happier with DeSantis. It could split the party, but I don't think so.

Tea Party will split the party... Trump as the nominee will split the party... Desantis as the Nominee will split the party... I'm starting to wonder if the liberals, progressives, and other Soros sycophants start those pronouncements to ward off their most feared...

I liked Trump because he was an outsider. I didn't know what to expect policy-wise, but now think he had great policies. DeSantis too, has a track record now, and I like his policies too. Plus, Trump always always over-the-top with his bragging. Good point.

Many of Trump's supporters are almost like cultists, fanatically supporting a personality rather than a policy platform. That's almost never a good thing, and he revels in it like a teenage movie star. The best thing he could do to ensure a 2024 victory is endorse another candidate and urge his supporters to make that switch.
