With the world seemingly on the verge of a nuclear holocaust, two old men were sitting next to each other, drinking in a bar. The younger man was in his 70's and the older one in his 90's. The younger man said, "I'm sad because I've hardly done any of the things on my Bucket List." The older one replied, "Change that "B" to an "F" and you really won't care very much."

Have any of you looked into the claimed reason Russia invaded in the first place? Hard for me to buy the Ukraine as a 100% victim here. Not condoning, of course, just looking for the other side of the coin.

I saw a video of Putin complaining about the weapons labs. The narrative is that he didn't want the Ukraine to join NATO. Also, it was a good time because a Dem is in the WH. That is my opinion.

Have any of you looked into the claimed reason Russia invaded in the first place? Putin is like a playground bully who likes to steal other kids' lunch money at recess. He waited until the recess monitor was an oblivious, senile vegetable with no courage or convictions, and he made his move. You take your chances when your chances are best, and that's what he's doing.

So the thinking was the Ukraine would just roll over without US support?
Even if they "win", the prize is a country that hates them and will likely be terrorists under Russian rule.

Remember the Russian invasion of Afghanistan? I remember hearing that on the news one night - was it 1980? Good point Bick. It is a disaster waiting to happen for the Russians, and the war is just beginning.

So the thinking was the Ukraine would just roll over without US support? I'm not sure the level of resistance from Ukraine was much of a factor in Putin's decision to move because it is a constant. The big variable he was watching was who's sitting in the White House and how much conviction and resolve does that person have. In that regard, his chances have never been better.

It is a disaster waiting to happen for the Russians, and the war is just beginning. Some people / cultures seem more compliant. Afghans and Ukrainians are on the opposite side of the spectrum, and are willing to die for their independence. Kinda like we were a couple centuries ago.

Of all the poll results that have been publicized in the last five or six years, the one that bothers me most may be the one that was released about two weeks ago: That in the event of an invasion by a foreign country, 52% of Democrats would flee the United States rather than fight to protect her. God, you just gotta love those leftists more and more every day. I guess very few Democrats are ethnic Ukrainians.

I'm not thinking many Democrats ever had family members that survived the Holodomor either.
Don't see how Ukrainians would ever live under Russian rule. Would be like Germany invading Israel, and thinking Israelis would be ok with it.

....and Trump was impeached for inquiring with Zelynsky in 2019 about the Biden Family corruption in Ukraine. What? What coup? What dangerous biolabs? What is the Uniparty? And who the hell is Murray? The "coup" refers to the impeachment of Trump over his call to Zelynsky and then the stealing of the 2020 election. The Uniparty is the permanent elected class of corrupt politicians from both parties. Murray Rothbard was an economist of the Austrian School and a political theorist who was very active in the Libertarian Party. He died in 1995. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murray_RothbardAs for the biolabs:

Thankfully, it's rare that history presents us with a public figure so rotten to the core that he has never done anything decent or praiseworthy in his entire life. Hunter Biden may be one of those figures.

Biden was hinting that the US will send troops from Poland in the Ukraine. Or was Biden just doing his "stupid speak".
"When you are there...."
