We had a very successful "Woke Sports" thread and it appears that industry has pulled in the reigns a bit, however over the past year many of our US Corporations have upped their woke game on the public and if you check out the rejection of late across the board it give true meaning to "Go Woke Go Broke".
If this isn't a huge reversal for a company like Netflix, Hollywood and the likes of Disney are watching their base leave in droves over the political content and messaging they are pushing, their stocks have been given a haircut in half.... this statement by the company also cops to the fact they only ran one type of content with one point of view for an entire nation and world. Things appear to be changing.

Well the bosses and employees were on the same side of "content", however bosses now realize without a mix or content which a bigger mix of consumers by no one will have much of a job or work place left to go to.... woeness is collapsing on them. |

I remember when the kids were young I couldn't wait to get the Disney Channel. What a mistake. Basically every show taught kids it was OK to go against their parents. I was shocked. Since the kids moved out, we cut all cable ties except internet. The other day I told my wife I didn't miss it. Neither did she. I can't a little of Spectrum News at my mom's. Wow, what a mess. People say this is like the times of Noah. I think they are right.
As per corporations flipping back? I would love to see Spectrum and all of them figure this out. Stop trying to program our parents and kids.

No corporation is more woke than Target.
Stock at a 52 week low and down 25% today. Target lost 1/4 of it's value in 15 minutes.

I don't watch corporate prices individually, but hopefully the woke corporations are getting hit the most. Maybe the boards of Disney and Target and ... will realize people aren't sold on their wokeness.

The story has got legs, how Disney bought and shelved a movie (Sound of Freedom) about child trafficking at a time when Epstein and his pedo minions were under the microscope in 2017-18 and eventually arrested, tried and convicted. Any wonder why Disney whom bought Weinstein's Miramax would keep this subject under wraps. Any wonder why Disney would buy a Mel Gibson's (whom Hollywood had turned on) film? Did the buy this to basically censor it?
Now add to this, in 2019 whom was about to go down for sex trafficking of minors, non other than Jeffrey Epstein. This same year of his conviction of such crimes and more, he mysteriously dies in jail.
Woke corporations & Hollywood.

The N.Y. Times has announced it is disbanding its entire sports department, and the L.A. Times is discontinuing publishing all box scores, standings, sports TV listings, and will no longer have beat reporters for many popular sports. I guess it's just a coincidence that two of the most woke papers in the country are having to make shocking cutbacks because their positions aren't as popular and profitable as they had thought.
Is it too much to hope for that Eric Sondheimer be among the casualties?

I don't know how long it's been since you read the Register, but it's about as Libertarian as AOC and Kamala Harris.

I don't know how long it's been since you read the Register, but it's about as Libertarian as AOC and Kamala Harris. read it daily, I disagree. if you are comparing it to Breibart or Newsmax, then yes would be somewhat more accurate in your assessment. On local politics more times than not they support my view, you by now know my views and any mainstream publication given me at least half if not more support of my views is a rarity. |
