The two candidate who beat Lightfoot for the runoff spots are both Democrats, so not one damn thing will change in Chicago. You can change the crap you put in the stew, but it's still crap stew.

Lori Lightfoot, the first mayor of a major American city (Chicago) who is also black, gay, female, and looks like Beetlejuice, is out. She's the first incumbent mayor of that city in 40 years to get the boot while seeking re-election. Will have to dig into this more today, fascinating news....., its so hard for the "D's" to see their own makings of a disaster, they usually deny its happening and continue on...., not sure about these others opposing her but something flipped a switch on this b*tch! |

This is one of the great American tragedies that I can't reconcile with common sense. All these failed American cities that have been governed by Democrats for two or three generations continue to elect Democrats to lead them. Can they not think? It's like that old analogy of complaining that it hurts when you hit your head with a claw hammer, but continuing to do so.

Chicago is known for their rigged elections, but like Trump in 2016, I bet they didn't have enough fake ballots to pull it off. She was just that unpopular. She was a disaster.

If sexism and racism was the cause of her loss, how did she get elected in the first place? Racism? Sexism? NO!!! She was a bad mayor.

Agreed. And one of the two guys who beat her this week is also black. The Democratic Party sees everything in terms of race and sex, so this should definitively prove to them that black lesbians make lousy mayors. |
