It does not include an equity interest, does not pay dividends, cannot be traded, and has no protection under securities law. Shareholders receive nothing more than voting rights, an invitation to the corporation's annual meeting, and an opportunity to purchase exclusive shareholder-only merchandise.
Shares cannot be resold, except back to the team for a fraction of the original price. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Bay_Packers,_Inc. What a deal. Still, it can't be doing any worse than some of the turkeys I've invested in................Luca

Plus it's the only chance most people will ever have to say that they are a part owner of a professional sports team. There have been five stock sales to fund Packer operations over the team's history, beginning with $5,000 being raised through 1,000 shares offered at $5 apiece in 1923. Most recently, $64 million was raised in 2011–2012 towards a $143-million Lambeau Field expansion. Demand exceeded expectations, and the original 250,000 share limit had to be increased before some 250,000 new buyers from all 50 U.S. states and Canada purchased 269,000 shares at $250 apiece, approximately 99% online.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Bay_Packers,_Inc.
