When the Attorney General of the United States goes on the air and pronounces that five police officers were killed in the Jan. 6 "insurrection", you almost have to throw up your hands and give up hope that this madness will ever end without a real insurrection. The left no longer has any hesitation to say anything, no matter how absurd, to advance their narrative and their agenda.

Sometimes even the RINOS are wrong. They stand with Schumer on this one. Perhaps Schumer will be right some day. I agree with you MD, it is weaponization of the FBI, DOJ, etc.

And FWIW, Ashley Babbitt was not "murdered". I assume that is sarcasm, because yes, she was.

Nope. You trespass, you're life is forfeit by your own hand... Especially if you're part of a mob.
Rules. Without them, we live with the animals.

Without them, we live with the animals. We DO live with the animals. We just call them progressives now.

There was no excuse for using lethal force against: a 125 pound girl, who was 1. unarmed, 2. who had all of her body except one lower leg in a different room from the idiot cop, 3. was still a dozen feet away from the trigger-happy cop, and 4. could have easily been overpowered by said sleaze-ball, who probably weighed twice as much as the girl he was so worried about. No way lethal force was justified in this case.

Way to easy to MMQB that day, Prof.
Remember the context of angry mob. It wasn't all like the Viking guy guided tour that Carlson displayed.
I put the mob types in the same bucket as the DC rioters that were running around in the months leading up to J6. If it's me, I'm not going to try to figure out which part of the mob is or isn't armed.
If you're foolish enough to break in to my home or place of business, and head in my direction, your life is forfeit, regardless of what you're pissed about.

That Babbitt shooting video raises more questions than it answers:
Why was she the first one through that broken window, instead of one of the pricks with bricks who were bashing them in? From ten feet away and with a very slow moving target, why did the cop shoot to kill rather than to disable? To paraphrase Joe Biden, he had the time and distance to shoot off the edge of her kneecap and put her on the ground. It's not like she was charging him at 20 miles an hour; she was slowly climbing through a shattered window. Why did the cop not back up to 20 or 30 feet to see what she would do once she got through the opening?
Personally, I agree somewhat with Bick. If someone violently breaks into your home, you have the right to use deadly force. I think the same applies to all those smash-and-grab losers we see on the news every night victimizing business owners, and the ones sweeping Target or Walgreens shelves into garbage bags and walking out the door. The way to reduce crime is put the criminals in jail or in the ground. And that applies equally to the thousands or leftists who rioted, burned and looted throughout the summer of 2020 and got away with it untouched. But in this case, the cop made a bad decision and shot the wrong person.

Wasn't really debating the decision the cop made. It's the hyperbole Carlson used in describing the killing that I object to.
Cops killing an unarmed suspect who chooses not to follow orders is not murder either.
Carlson lost a measure of credibility by using hyperbole.

The cop that shot Babbitt had problems before and should not even had been a Capitol Police Officer. Out of all the cops in that room, the trigger happy one shot her.

Let's get to the root of the same arguments the BLM guys make when a black gets "murdered" by a cop.
It's always some proof the guy is a racist or had incidents in the past, etc. My argument is pretty much undefeated.
Follow the orders of the cops and / or don't commit a crime, and you won't get shot, tased or beat up.

I keep asking Facebook for a frame around my photo to "Free the J-6 Freedom Fighters" like we had for being vaccinated or boosted. Still waiting.
