MTG was an embarrassment last night. If we wanted to be like the British House of Commons, we shouldn't have fought a war about 250 years ago

MTG was an embarrassment last night. While I believe AOC would have behaved much the same way if last night's BS speech had been delivered by a Republican president, I agree that Taylor-Green is an embarrassment, not just last night but pretty much every day. She is the female Donald Trump -- no common sense, no class, no decorum, and no control over what comes out of her mouth.

I strongly disagree. I think it's great having someone fighting that strongly for the things I believe in, and I don't give a damn if she hurts anyone's feelings while she's doing it. Biden was spouting lies and the things he was complaining about were his fault. Considering that most
people who were watching the State of the Union Bullshitter, were not going to bother tuning in to Sarah Huckabee Sanders' rebuttal, I say it's definitely a good thing that MTG and the rest of the GOP didn't let his lies go unchallenged on national TV.
People who supposedly represent us have been rolling over for the left for way too long, and on way too many issues. That's why things have gotten so bad. So it's great to see conservatives fight back, and again I don't care if some people think they lack decorum while doing so.
In the immortal words of the late great US Senator Barry M. Goldwater..."I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!"

I agree professor, it is time for us conservatives to be heard and if it is MTG calling out Biden's many lies on national T.V. then so be it. I have heard plenty of times on this forum people saying we conservatives aren't together like the Dems are and it is true. My first reaction to the outburst during the State of the Union speech was like MDDAD and I thought about it for awhile and then thought this needs to be heard with all of its "House of Commons" loudness. Just my 2 cents..

If our answer to the Dems' position is to see who can be a bigger buffoon than Pelosi or the squad, or to think power alone is going to be the answer, we may as well get on with dividing the country before we really start killing each other.

If our answer to the Dems' position is to see who can be a bigger buffoon than Pelosi or the squad... I can't stand Nancy Pelosi, and I despise everything she stands for, but we had a bigger buffoon than her in the White House for four years. It's sad that the top leaders in both parties aren't at the top because they offer rational, reasonable solutions to our problems, but because they badmouth the other side in the crudest ways possible. Right now, the best hope for this country is probably Ron DeSantis, yet like a playground bully, Donald Trump is doing everything he can to chop him to pieces. And they're in the same party.

I think we have discussed this possible scenario for sometime.... as if it isn't only already ideologically..., it may need to be down geographically.

I believe that Joe Biden is a pathological liar with a number of personality disorders that go along with it. He should be challenged every time he lies, which is multiple times everyday. The media refuse to challenge him because they are sycophants of the Democrats. So, who is going to do it?
If only certain members of Congress are willing to object to Biden's immoral behavior, then so be it.

While I don't agree with her style, I do agree with the substance of this particular message.

Honestly might be the stupidest suggestion I've seen yet. No offense Bick.
Destroy the United States because we disagree with wokeism - the funny thing is, the woke are entitled to their opinions just like we're entitled to our own anti-woke beliefs.
She's trash and will continue to infect our party with the insane Trumpist freak show that lost us 2020 and 2023.
OVER IT.

She's trash and will continue to infect our party with the insane Trumpist freak show that lost us 2020 and 2023. OVER IT. There's more to it than just wokeism, Frog. There's: globalism, anti-white racism, pro-abortionism, failure to defend our borders, out of control spending, Indoctrination of our children (from kindergarten to university) intended to produce anti-white prejudice, anti-Christian prejudice, pro-LGBTQ+ bias, anti-Americanism, pro-Marxism, pro-socialism, pro-communism, pro-transgenderism, and let's not forget the two-tier system of justice, weaponization of the department of justice against parents, Christians (especially Catholics), electoral fraud, persecution of Republicans, conservatives, Christians, or anyone who espouses values contrary to those approved by the Democrats. I say persecution because all trials of such federal opponents in the federal government are held in Washington DC which is 95% Democrat, resulting in acquittals for all Democrats (if any are ever indicted that is), and prosecution persecution of all Republicans until they find something that sticks. I could go on and on. Yes, one's opponents are entitled to their opinions...someone please tell that to the Democrats. So many of those opinions would be tolerable, if they didn't include attempting to force us to accept them, and if they didn't include betraying our Constitution, betraying our country's sovereignty, and infringing upon our rights. These differences are so diametrically opposed that they appear to me to be irreconcilable. What's your solution? Civil War? It seems to me that a national divorce is considerably better than that.

The solution is simple... continue on like we have been for past 245 years.

Thefrog's position has merit, and it shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. How ironic that an amphibian has become the voice of reason on this forum. Marjorie Taylor Greene is the mirror-image of AOC, and her looniness shouldn't be taken any more seriously than that of the big-mouthed bartender. It is naive and cavalier to assume that a "national divorce" would be a simple thing to accomplish and wouldn't have dozens of unintended negative consequences. We've gone over this subject before and come up with no solutions other than a geographic division by states. That is not feasible, as you can't expect 150 million Americans to uproot their lives and move to another state because the one they live in is the wrong color.
