In Europe and the US, Regulators are talking about letting the banks Bail-in. I have heard that means that if you have 80K in the bank, the bank can take 60K to save themselves, and leave you with 20K.
This is what I think will happen. Other Banks will fail, and the Federal Reserve will lend money to Chase, BofA, WellsFargo, and the other large member banks to purchase the assets of the small banks that fail. The bad thing about that is inflation will skyrocket.
If banks are allowed to "Bail-in", inflation will be held in check, but housing prices will fall.
Either way stocks will drop will drop. It wasn't until 1955 that the DJIA recovered from the 1929 stock market crash.
The Federal Reserve was created to prevent a panic. Sure, within two decades the worst panic in history occurred.
I had never heard of a bail-in until the other day when the EU talked about it.
What will happen? Digital currency? I say let the banks fail, get rid of the Federal Reserve, and back money by gold. No? I think the US still has the largest gold reserve.

Yellen says things are great. This could be isolated to that woke bank. They were probably the most woke bank in the industry.
