At some point it gets so ridiculous that those near the extremes have to see through it and pay back toward the middle.

I'm convinced that most people on both extremes are so stupid they will believe anything their "leaders" tell them, whether it's AOC or Donald Trump, and they can be fired up at a moment's notice by an appeal to their emotions and their victimhood. If they weren't, they'd be in the moderate, common sense middle to begin with. |

What's reported is what draws eyes and clicks, and "normal" doesn't do that. Nobody is dying to hear about a normal guy who goes to work every day and buys food for his family. Rather, it's more exciting to see or hear about some fat slob in makeup, pasties and a G-string grinding his crotch in the face of a first-grader during Story Hour. Blood, sex, hatred, lies and victimhood draw viewers, and those things will always tend to drive more people to the extremes.
So yes, there are probably fewer people at the extremes than the media would have us believe, but they are always trying to drive those numbers up. It's their lifeblood.

President Binden just said yesterday that there is nothing wrong with the banks. Why is Wall Street dumping banking stocks if the banks are okay?

I heard on the radio that 90 percent of the deposits were over the FDIC insured amount of 250K. And then on another show they said many of the biggest depositors were Chinese. Maybe we'll need to get that third job if the Feds have to back up the FDIC.
