MDDad , what ur take on Bru Mc. coming (transferring again) back to USC from Texas? Is it the NCAA will make him sit a year for going in the first place? I purposely haven't called Bru's parents, because I'm sure they are getting calls and texts out the wazoo right about now. Bru made the decision to transfer to Texas on his own. His parents preferred USC, but Bru loved Texas from his first visit there, and the coaching staff assured him that playing as a freshman would be a sure thing. He was also deeply hurt by the Kingsbury betrayal, and felt he was misled and lied to by a guy he trusted. But now playing as a freshman has become a 50-50 proposition at Texas. Also, Bru is very tight with his parents and sisters, and I'm sure homesickness plays a big role in his indecision right now. Bru is a remarkable young man, and the trio of his dad, his mom and Bru are my all-time favorites in my 18 years at the school. I'm sure they will make the right decision.

Very good fundamentals, two way player and very athletic. I don't recall ever seeing him trying to draw attention to himself. Most importantly, I think he was a 4-year kid at Mater Dei (wasn't he?) and that in itself is an admirable trait these days.........................................Luca

Yes, Bru was at Mater Dei all four years. And it's a hell of a commute from Palos Verdes Estates every day.

Yeah, I was at Servite this morning and there were a couple dozen varsity guys conducting their own workout, along with a few alums now playing college ball. No '87 Crespi graduates on hand.
If this is any sort of violation then my account was hacked by Wabash and you can disregard this post.

I don't know how much different those rules were back in my day, but I remember Coach Dena telling us that while we couldn't have any practices, "if a bunch of you were to just happen to show up on the same beach, and decided to throw the football around, well..."

I think this is the first of the Class of 2020 to commit. Much of our talent is in the '21 and '22 classes.

Credo, when did you start claiming credit for two-year rental players recruited and poached from a Trinity League rival?

Touche! Actually, Aguilar became 3rd fiddle TE/DE at O Lu after Ethan Rae left Servite for O Lu. Rather than sit behind stars Mojarro and Rae for two years, he took Rae's place at Servite. So I guess it was a straight trade with no player to be named later.

Credo, when did you start claiming credit for two-year rental players recruited and poached from a Trinity League rival? That's a fair criticism, but two years--and graduating from Servite--at least rises to the level of a long-term "lease". One semester rentals usually come from Rancho Cucamonga. On the total ledger of Trinity League poaching, we're still in the red. On that account, Negro remains in the black--no pun intended.

Okay, so this isn't Cal but at least we can call this homegrown. More to come from this young man.

And his older brother is also a teacher at Servite.

Professor, is that Jeminai Leuta-Ulu? You know, another kid you recruited and poached from Mater Dei?
