I will admit that I have cringed a few times when Trump has demeaned someone so I don't always agree with him. At times like that I look at what good kids he has and that he has done a great job with them and he is the best president we have had in my lifetime.
Ross Perot - MDDad! That brings back memories. I remember being on board with him at first, but his whiny voice finally got to me and I couldn't stand listening to him anymore.
If there is anyone who is a better candidate than Trump and can be trusted I would like to know who it is.

If there is anyone who is a better candidate than Trump and can be trusted I would like to know who it is. The candidate with the best combination of the right policy positions, the most executive politicial experience, and the demeanor of a grownup is Ron DeSantis. Unfortunately, he isn't provocative or outrageous enough for today's voters. They prefer glitz and fireworks over substance, so he has no chance. |

I agree that Ron DeSantis is a good man and I admire his willingness to take on his critics and the media. However, I worry about his size and his lack of 'star power' that Trump has in spades.
Here is a quote from Megyn Kelly:
"He could not have been more magnanimous." Past damages aside, it seems that Kelly, a former Fox News star, has become a genuine admirer of Trump, praising his “aura” and “command” of the room. “It's not just because he's former president now, because I knew him before that."
I borrowed the 'star power' description from Kelly, which was a huge surprise when I heard her say it. What a turn around from years ago! I thought that was amazing.

I would like to see DeSantis and for a while I liked him better (basically because of the vaccine policy). But that aside, IMO, we need Trump now more than anyone. The media hates him, the establishment hates him. If they don't like him, then .... I think he could win from a jail cell. At least against Biden.

A candidate's height and star power have become more important to voters than his substance or record of accomplishment. Joe Biden certainly didn't have any star power when he won in 2020, and neither did the two Bushes. It seems like it's only in the last few years when the woke virus has rotted the brains of so many Americans that superfluous qualities like height and star power have become so all-important. If star power is really what matters, we should elect Kylie Jenner or Beyonce for president. Or Taylor Swift as soon as she gets old enough. And given today's insane environment, I'm not sure they wouldn't win. |

I absolutely understand how you feel about Trump because I feel the same way about Biden. Every-time I see Biden I have an overwhelming urge to punch him in the face. I hate him with a passion. So, I get it.
Now that the world is in such a mess I believe we need a president who is big, intimidating and scary, which Trump is. He has rattled many heads of state including Putin. Itty-bitty Zelensky believes he can match Trump, but he can't. Trump will stomp him like a bug. Trump intimidated Iran while he was in office and he can do so again. Our president needs to project strength to bring the world back to normal again. I really believe that.
I would like to see Trump as president and DeSantis as VP. Perhaps DeSantis would have a calming influence on Trump if needed.

You don't call foreign leaders names like that. The next thing you know, Trump and him are talking. What other President had such relations with NK? None!!! Too bad Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia halted their vote counts in the last election. Wow, what a surprise waking up finding out Biden was more popular than Obama. That was an interruption in Trump's work, IMO. Now we are closer than ever to nuclear war. Thanks MI, PA, and GA. Get your elections fixed before 2024. Please. |
