Maybe beating up on half a schedule that wouldn't keep up with fountain valley is an ego boost that'll make a great start sheet and highlight reel?
Usually starters would move to a higher division. Hadn't heard of them dropping en masse to a lower division. Your guys is as good as mine as to whatever the incentives are.

Only two things come to mind as an outsider here, either major internal higher up issue would be suspected or these players simply being mostly seniors want to avoid injury and play a safer and easier schedule where they will be pounding the opposition as opposed to taking a potential pounding. Would any college recruiter aid in these decisions to kids they have signed and want the signee to stay healthy and not get hurt? |

Interesting thought. I can't imagine a college recruiter would suggest that moving to a lower division to avoid injury but I guess anything is possible.
Most of the guys that enrolled there got multiple offers within a couple weeks. Don't know if those are truly committable, but the timing is interesting.
Don't know of any coaches around that have much good to say about their HC / program. Seems like he's making some promises and players / parents are biting.

Millikan might only have one game on their schedule that matters. Not sure what their preseason schedule is but Poly is their only challenge in league. Those guys can run up stats v everyone else. Highlight films and twitter posts galore.
