Hello and welcome aboard. Even though the link to this forum reads "Non-Lib", opposing opinions on the topics are certainly welcome and encouraged. The name calling stuff - not so much. An example would be, I don't like a lot of things Trump says and does. But constant ridicule of him, or anyone who supports him...not welcome. Same would apply to those public figures on the left. Not looking for this to become a right-wing echo chamber. There are plenty of other venues to exercise that activity if that option appeals to you. I think the best rule of thumb is to keep an open mind, and engage with the person(s) here as though you were not under the cloak of anonymity. So, hard on the issue - easy on the person. Kinda figuring it out as we go. Have fun! We've had a number of interactions here over the past month that directly conflict with pretty much the only "rule" we have. Given the history of the parties involved, we've pretty much let the combatants have at it. Being consistent with what I believe to be our collective mindset, we haven't offered the cover of protected status in the conversations here when it comes to the usual protected classes in the mainstream. Insults are insults regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation or political affiliation. From this chair as a member, the hope was the insults would run its course, or be confined to the Other Board thread if watching yet another car wreck was appealing to me at that time. Unfortunately, again from my perspective, it has permeated most of the active threads, and become the clutter it was in the community we left. I'm not suggesting you discontinue the insults you have for each other. By all means - knock yourselves out. Please just take it outside - either to your private Messages or to the Other Board thread. No one here has lost his access to the use of PMs. |

I'm not sure where to get another name beyond your current status level, so you're going to need a lot more than the 30+ left to hit 2k. Might have to get Luca involved with this one. You don't think everyone knows this? Nobody on the Los Al coaching staff came over to Servite. I was merely giving Bick a hard time over some of his previous comments. If this goes on further we might have to transfer this over to the Mosh Pit....If it goes much further on this thread Servite will get to 2000 posts and beat Lakewood-Los Al by about 60 posts..., I mean points!  |
